This applies only to sacred animals, because it is repulsive;2 but as for hullin, where it is not repulsive, I would say that though they are forbidden for any use, let them be annulled by the majority. Thus [both] are necessary. Now, let them indeed be annulled by the majority? And should you answer, They are important and cannot be annulled; that is well on the view that we learnt ‘whatever one is wont to count’; but on the view that we learnt ‘that which one is wont to count what can be said?3 For we learnt: If a man has bundles of fenugreek of kil'ayim4 of a vineyard,5 ones. are all forbidden.
