Where do I start?
This corpus contains texts from multiple religious and scholarly traditions. If the list feels overwhelming, try filtering by your language first — use the filters below to narrow down to what you can read.
If you’re new to the Bible: the JPS 1917 is an English translation of the Hebrew Bible from a Jewish scholarly perspective. The Berean Standard Bible (BSB) is a modern English Protestant Christian translation covering both testaments. The King James Version (KJV) is the classic English text. The parallel reader lets you compare any of these side by side.
About the tradition markers: each work is tagged with the tradition it comes from. ש (shin) marks Jewish texts — the Hebrew Bible, Talmud, and rabbinic commentary. χ (chi) marks Christian texts — the New Testament, church translations, and patristic writings. Some texts carry both or neither; original-language editions and critical texts are often tagged academic when they serve scholarship across traditions.
