Ich befehle euch aber unsre Schwester Phöbe, welche ist im Dienste der Gemeinde zu Kenchreä,
I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant (note: Or deaconess) of the church in Cenchrea.
dass ihr sie aufnehmet in dem Herrn, wie sich's ziemt den Heiligen, und tut ihr Beistand in allem Geschäfte, darin sie euer bedarf; denn sie hat auch vielen Beistand getan, auch mir selbst.
Welcome her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and assist her with anything she may need from you. For she has been a great help to many people, including me.
Grüßt die Priscilla und den Aquila, meine Gehilfen in Christo Jesu,
Greet Prisca (note: Prisca is a variant of Priscilla; see Acts 18:2.) and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus,

who have risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.

Ich ermahne euch aber, liebe Brüder, dass ihr achtet auf die, die da Zertrennung und Ärgernis anrichten neben der Lehre, die ihr gelernt habt, und weichet von ihnen.
Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them.
Denn solche dienen nicht dem Herrn Jesus Christus, sondern ihrem Bauche; und durch süße Worte und prächtige Reden verführen sie unschuldige Herzen.
For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.
Denn euer Gehorsam ist bei jedermann kund geworden. Derhalben freue ich mich über euch; ich will aber, dass ihr weise seid zum Guten, aber einfältig zum Bösen.
Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice over you. But I want you to be wise about what is good and innocent about what is evil.
Aber der Gott des Friedens zertrete den Satan unter eure Füße in kurzem. Die Gnade unsres Herrn Jesu Christi sei mit euch!
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (note: NA, NE, and WH Lord Jesus) be with you.

Now to Him who is able to strengthen you by my gospel and by the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery concealed for ages past
nun aber offenbart, auch kundgemacht durch der Propheten Schriften nach Befehl des ewigen Gottes, den Gehorsam des Glaubens aufzurichten unter allen Heiden:
but now revealed and made known through the writings of the prophets by the command of the eternal God, in order to lead all nations to the obedience that comes from faith—
demselben Gott, der allein weise ist, sei Ehre durch Jesum Christum in Ewigkeit! Amen.
