4:1

Au maître de chant, sur les instruments à cordes. Psaume de David.

For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved my distress; show me grace and hear my prayer.

4:2

Quand je t'invoque, réponds-moi, Dieu de ma justice, toi qui dans ma détresse, me mets au large. Aie pitié de moi et entends ma prière !

How long, O men, will my honor be maligned? How long will you love vanity and seek after ? Selah

4:3

Fils des hommes, jusques à quand ma gloire sera-t-elle outragée ? Jusques à quand aimerez-vous la vanité, et rechercherez-vous le mensonge ? — Séla.

Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for Himself; the LORD hears when I call to Him.

4:4

Sachez que Yahweh s'est choisi un homme pieux ; Yahweh entend quand je l'invoque.

Be angry, yet do not ; on your bed, search your heart and be still. Selah

Tremblez, et ne péchez plus ! Parlez-vous à vous-mêmes sur votre couche, et cessez ! — Séla.

Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the LORD.

4:6

Offrez des sacrifices de justice, et confiez-vous en Yahweh.

Many ask, “Who can show us the good?” Shine the light of Your face upon us, O LORD.

4:7

Beaucoup disent : " Qui nous fera voir le bonheur ? " Fais lever sur nous la lumière de ta face, Yahweh !

You have filled my heart with more joy than when grain and new wine abound.

4:8

Tu as mis dans mon cœur plus de joie qu'ils n'en ont au temps où abondent leur froment et leur vin nouveau.

I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
