Davidi, cum immutavit vultum suum coram Achimelech, et dimisit eum, et abiit.
Rejoice in the LORD, O righteous ones; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him.
Benedicam Dominum in omni tempore ; semper laus ejus in ore meo.
Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him with ten strings.
In Domino laudabitur anima mea : audiant mansueti, et lætentur.
Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy.
Magnificate Dominum mecum, et exaltemus nomen ejus in idipsum.
For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is trustworthy.
Exquisivi Dominum, et exaudivit me ; et ex omnibus tribulationibus meis eripuit me.
The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His loving devotion.
Accedite ad eum, et illuminamini ; et facies vestræ non confundentur.
By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the stars by the breath of His mouth.
Iste pauper clamavit, et Dominus exaudivit eum, et de omnibus tribulationibus ejus salvavit eum.
He piles up the waters of the sea; He puts the depths into storehouses.
Immittet angelus Domini in circuitu timentium eum, et eripiet eos.
Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere Him.
Gustate et videte quoniam suavis est Dominus ; beatus vir qui sperat in eo.
For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm.
Timete Dominum, omnes sancti ejus, quoniam non est inopia timentibus eum.
The LORD frustrates the plans of the nations; He thwarts the devices of the peoples.
Divites eguerunt, et esurierunt ; inquirentes autem Dominum non minuentur omni bono.
The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the purposes of His heart to all generations.
Venite, filii ; audite me : timorem Domini docebo vos.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His inheritance!
Quis est homo qui vult vitam ; diligit dies videre bonos ?
The LORD looks down from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.
Prohibe linguam tuam a malo, et labia tua ne loquantur dolum.
From His dwelling place He gazes on all who inhabit the earth.
Diverte a malo, et fac bonum ; inquire pacem, et persequere eam.
He shapes the hearts of each; He considers all their works.
Oculi Domini super justos, et aures ejus in preces eorum.
No king is saved by his vast army; no warrior is delivered by his great strength.
Vultus autem Domini super facientes mala, ut perdat de terra memoriam eorum.
A horse is a vain hope for salvation; even its great strength cannot save.
Clamaverunt justi, et Dominus exaudivit eos ; et ex omnibus tribulationibus eorum liberavit eos.
Surely the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His loving devotion
Juxta est Dominus iis qui tribulato sunt corde, et humiles spiritu salvabit.
to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
Multæ tribulationes justorum ; et de omnibus his liberabit eos Dominus.
Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
Custodit Dominus omnia ossa eorum : unum ex his non conteretur.
For our hearts rejoice in Him, since we trust in His holy name.
Mors peccatorum pessima ; et qui oderunt justum delinquent.
May Your loving devotion rest on us, O LORD, as we put our hope in You.
