Psalms 148

Clementine Vulgate · Berean Standard Bible

Alleluja. Laudate Dominum de cælis ; laudate eum in excelsis.
Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the highest places (note: See Matthew 21:9, Mark 11:10, and Luke 19:38.).
Laudate eum, omnes angeli ejus ; laudate eum, omnes virtutes ejus.
Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.
Laudate eum, sol et luna ; laudate eum, omnes stellæ et lumen.
Praise Him, O sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars.
Laudate eum, cæli cælorum ; et aquæ omnes quæ super cælos sunt,
Praise Him, O highest heavens, and you waters above the skies.
laudent nomen Domini. Quia ipse dixit, et facta sunt ; ipse mandavit, et creata sunt.
Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He gave the command and they were created.
Statuit ea in æternum, et in sæculum sæculi ; præceptum posuit, et non præteribit.
He established them forever and ever; He issued a decree that will never pass away.
Laudate Dominum de terra, dracones et omnes abyssi ;
Praise the LORD from the earth, all great sea creatures and ocean depths,
ignis, grando, nix, glacies, spiritus procellarum, quæ faciunt verbum ejus ;
lightning and hail, snow and clouds, powerful wind fulfilling His word,
montes, et omnes colles ; ligna fructifera, et omnes cedri ;
mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,
bestiæ, et universa pecora ; serpentes, et volucres pennatæ ;
wild animals and all cattle, crawling creatures and flying birds,
reges terræ et omnes populi ; principes et omnes judices terræ ;
kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth,
juvenes et virgines ; senes cum junioribus, laudent nomen Domini :
young men and maidens, old and young together.
quia exaltatum est nomen ejus solius.
Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
Confessio ejus super cælum et terram ; et exaltavit cornu populi sui. Hymnus omnibus sanctis ejus ; filiis Israël, populo appropinquanti sibi. Alleluja.
He has raised up a horn for His people, the praise of all His saints, of Israel, a people near to Him. Hallelujah!
