Cantique des montées. Ceux qui se confient en Yahweh sont comme la montagne de Sion : elle ne chancelle point, elle est établie pour toujours.
A song of ascents. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. It cannot be moved; it abides forever.
Jérusalem a autour d'elle une ceinture de montagnes : ainsi Yahweh entoure son peuple, dès maintenant et à jamais.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.
Le sceptre des méchants ne restera pas sur l'héritage des justes, afin que les justes ne portent pas aussi leurs mains vers l'iniquité.
For the scepter of the wicked will not rest upon the land allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to injustice.
Yahweh, répands tes bontés sur les bons, et sur ceux qui ont le cœur droit.
Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to the upright in heart.
Mais sur ceux qui se détournent en des voies tortueuses, que Yahweh les abandonne avec ceux qui font le mal ! Paix sur Israël !
But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers. Peace be upon Israel.
