Also, meine lieben und ersehnten Brüder, meine Freude und meine Krone, besteht also in dem Herrn, ihr Lieben.
Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you must stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.
Die Evodia ermahne ich, und die Syntyche ermahne ich, dass sie eines Sinnes seien in dem Herrn.
I urge Euodia and Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord.
Ja ich bitte auch dich, mein treuer Geselle, stehe ihnen bei, die samt mir für das Evangelium gekämpft haben, mit Klemens und meinen andern Gehilfen, welcher Namen sind in dem Buch des Lebens.
Yes, and I ask you, my true yokefellow (note: Or I ask you, loyal Syzygus), to help these women who have contended at my side for the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.
Freuet euch in dem Herrn allewege! Und abermals sage ich: Freuet euch!
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Eure Lindigkeit lasset kund sein allen Menschen! der Herr ist nahe!
Let your gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord is near.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Weiter, liebe Brüder, was wahrhaftig ist, was ehrbar, was gerecht, was keusch, was lieblich, was wohllautet, ist etwa eine Tugend, ist etwa ein Lob, dem denket nach!
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things.
Welches ihr auch gelernt und empfangen und gehört und gesehen habt an mir, das tut; so wird der Gott des Friedens mit euch sein.
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Ich bin aber höchlich erfreut in dem Herrn, dass ihr wieder wacker geworden seid, für mich zu sorgen; wiewohl ihr allewege gesorgt habt, aber die Zeit hat's nicht wollen leiden.
Now I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.

And as you Philippians know, in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church but you partnered with me in the matter of giving and receiving.

For even while I was in Thessalonica, you provided for my needs again and again.
Nicht, dass ich das Geschenk suche; sondern ich suche die Frucht, dass sie reichlich in eurer Rechnung sei.
Not that I am seeking a gift, but I am looking for the fruit that may be credited to your account.
Denn ich habe alles und habe überflüssig. Ich habe die Fülle, da ich empfing durch Epaphroditus, was von euch kam: ein süßer Geruch, ein angenehmes Opfer, Gott gefällig.
I have all I need and more, now that I have received your gifts from Epaphroditus. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
Mein Gott aber fülle aus alle eure Notdurft nach seinem Reichtum in der Herrlichkeit in Christo Jesu.
And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Gott aber, unsrem Vater, sei Ehre von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! Amen.
