8:1
Καὶ Βενιαμεὶν ἐγέννησεν Βελελεὴλ πρωτότοκον αὐτοῦ καὶ Σαβὰ τὸν δεύτερον, Ἰαφαὴλ τὸν τρίτον,
Benjamin was the father of Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, Aharah the third,
8:2
Ἰωὰ τὸν τέταρτον, καὶ Ῥαφὴ τὸν πέμπτον.
Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
8:3
καὶ ἦσαν υἱρὶ τῷ Βάλε· Ἄλει καὶ Γηρὰ καὶ Ἀβιοὺδ
The sons of Bela: Addar, Gera, Abihud (note: Possibly Gera the father of Ehud; see verse 7.),
8:4
καὶ Ἀβεισάμας καὶ Νοομὰ καὶ Ἀχιὰ
Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,
8:5
καὶ Γερὰ καὶ Σωφαρφὰκ καὶ Ὡἰμ.
Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram.
8:6
οὗτοιυἱοὶ Ἀώδ· οὗτοί εἰσιν ἄρχοντες πατριῶν τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν Γάβερ, καὶ μετῴκισαν αὐτοὺς εἰς Μαχαναθεί
These were the descendants of Ehud who were the heads of the families living in Geba and were exiled to Manahath:
8:7
καὶ Νοομὰ καὶ Ἀχειὰ καὶ Γηρά· οὗτος Ἰγαάμ, ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ναανὰ καὶ τὸν Ἰαχειχώλ.
Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera, who carried them into exile and who was the father of Uzza and Ahihud (note: Or and Gera, that is Heglam, who was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.).
8:8
καὶ Σααρὴλ ἐγέννησεν ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ Μωὰβ μετὰ τὸ ἀποστεῖλαι αὐτὸν Σωσὶν καὶ τὴν Ἰβααδὰ γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ.
Shaharaim had sons in the country of Moab after he had divorced his wives Hushim and Baara.
8:9
καὶ ἐγέννησεν ἐκ τῆς Ἅδα γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ τὸν Ἰωβὰβ καὶ τὸν Ἰεβιὰ καὶ τὸν Μισὰ καὶ τὸν Μελχὰς
His sons by his wife Hodesh: Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,
καὶ τὸν Ἰδὼς καὶ τὸν Σαβιὰ καὶ τὸν Ἰμαμά· οὗτοι ἄρχοντες πατριῶν.
Jeuz, Sachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of families.
καὶ ἐκ τῆς Ὡσιμὲν ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἀβιτὰβ καὶ τὸν Ἀλφάαδ.
He also had sons by Hushim: Abitub and Elpaal.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀλφάαδ· Ὠβήδ, Μεσσαάμ, Σήμηρ· οὗτος ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Ὠνὰν καὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτῆς·
The sons of Elpaal: Eber, Misham, Shemed (who built Ono and Lod with its villages),
καὶ Βεριγὰ καὶ Σάμα· οὗτοι ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν Αἰλάμ, καὶ οὗτοι ἐξεδίωξαν τοὺς καιοικοῦντας Γεθ.
and Beriah and Shema (who were the heads of families living in Aijalon and who drove out the inhabitants of Gath).
καὶ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ Σωκὴλ καὶ Ἰαρειμὼθ
Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth,
καὶ Ἀζαβαβιὰ καὶ Ὠρὴρ καὶ Ὤβηδ
Zebadiah, Arad, Eder,
καὶ Μειχαὴλ καὶ Σοφὰν καὶ Ἰωαχάν, υἱοὶ Βαρειγά·
Michael, Ishpah, and Joha were the sons of Beriah.
καὶ Σαβαδιὰ καὶ Μοσολλὰμ καὶ Ἀζακεὶ καὶ Ἀβαρ
Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber,
καὶ Σαμαρεὶ καὶ Σαρειὰ καὶ Ἰωάβ, υἱοὶ Ἐλχάαδ·
Ishmerai, Izliah, and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.
καὶ Ἰακεὶμ καὶ Ζαχρεὶ καὶ Σαβδεὶ
Jakim, Zichri, Zabdi,
καὶ Ἐλιωλιαὰ καὶ Σαλθεὶ καὶ Ἐλιηλεὶ
Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel,
καὶ Ἀβιὰ καὶ Βεριγὰ καὶ Βαραιὰ καὶ Σαμαράθ, υἱοὶ Σαμαείθ.
Adaiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.
καὶ Ἰσφὰν καὶ Ὤβδη καὶ Ἐλεὴλ
Ishpan, Eber, Eliel,
καὶ Ἀβαδὼν καὶ Ζεχρεὶ καὶ Ἀνὰν
Abdon, Zichri, Hanan,
καὶ Ἀνανίὰ καὶ Ἀμβρεὶ καὶ Αἰλὰμ καὶ Ἀνωθαὶθ
Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah,
καὶ Ἀθεν καὶ Ἰεφερειὰ καὶ Φελιήλ, υἱοὶ Σωιήκ·
Iphdeiah, and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.
καὶ Ἰσμασαριὰ καὶ Σαραιὰ καὶ Ὀγοθολιὰ
Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah,
καὶ Ἰασαραιὰ καὶ Σαραιὰ καὶ Ἠλιὰ καὶ Ζαχρεὶ υἱοὶ Ἰραάμ.
Jaareshiah, Elijah, and Zichri were the sons of Jeroham.
οὗτοι ἄρχοντες πατριῶν, κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες· οὗτοι κατῴκησαν ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ.
All these were heads of families, the chiefs according to their genealogies, and they lived in Jerusalem.
καὶ ἐν Γαβαὼν κατῴκησεν πατὴρ Γαβαών, καὶ ὄνομα γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ Μολχά·
Jeiel the father of Gibeon lived (note: Some LXX manuscripts (see also 1 Chronicles 9:35); Hebrew The father of Gibeon lived) in Gibeon. His wife’s name was Maacah,
καὶ υἱὸς αὐτῆς ὁ πρωτότοκος Ἀβαίων, καὶ Σοὺρ καὶ Κεὶς καὶ Βααλακαὶμ καὶ Ἀδὰδ
and Abdon was his firstborn son, then Zur, Kish, Baal (note: Some LXX manuscripts include Ner; see 1 Chronicles 9:36.), Nadab,
καὶ Δοὐρ καὶ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ Ζάχουρ καὶ Μακαλὼθ·
Gedor, Ahio, Zecher (note: Zecher is likely a variant of Zechariah; see 1 Chronicles 9:37.),
καὶ Μακαλὼθ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σεμαά.καὶ γὰρ οὗτοι κατέναντι τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν κατῴκησαν ἐν Ἰερουσαλὴμ μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν.
and Mikloth, who was the father of Shimeah (note: Shimeah is a variant of Shimeam; see 1 Chronicles 9:38.). They too lived alongside their relatives in Jerusalem.
καὶ Νὴρ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Κείς, καὶ Κεὶς ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαούλ, καὶ Σαοὺλ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἰωναθὰν καὶ τὸν Μελχεσοῦε καὶ τὸν Ἀμειναδὰβ καὶ τὸν Ἀσάβαλ.
Ner was the father of Kish, Kish was the father of Saul, and Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal (note: Esh-baal is also called Ish-bosheth; see 2 Samuel 2:8.).
καὶ υἱοὶ Ἰωναθὰν Μεριβάαλ· καὶ Μεριβάαλ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μιχιά.
The son of Jonathan: Merib-baal (note: Merib-baal is also called Mephibosheth; see 2 Samuel 4:4.), and Merib-baal was the father of Micah (note: Micah is a variant of Mica; see 2 Samuel 9:12.).
καὶ υἱοὶ Μιχιά· Φιθὼν καὶ Μελχὴλ καὶ ᵇερέε καὶ Ζάκ.
The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tarea (note: Tarea is a variant of Tahrea; see 1 Chronicles 9:41.), and Ahaz.
καὶ Σὰκ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἰὰδ καὶ Ἰάδα, καὶ Ἰαδὰ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαλαιμὰθ καὶ τὸν Σαλμὼ καὶ τὸν Ζαμβρεί, καὶ ἐγέννησεν Ζαμβρεὶ τὸν Μαισά·
Ahaz was the father of Jehoaddah (note: Jehoaddah is a variant of Jarah or Jadah; see 1 Chronicles 9:42.), Jehoaddah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri, and Zimri was the father of Moza.
καὶ Μαισὰ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Βανά· Ῥαφαὶ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Σαλασὰθ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ἐσὴλ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ.
Moza was the father of Binea. Raphah (note: Raphah is a variant of Rephaiah; see 1 Chronicles 9:43.) was his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son.
καὶ τῷ Ἐσὴλ ἕξ υἱοί, καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν· Ἐζρεικαὶ πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ, καὶ Ἰσμαὴλ καὶ Σαραιὰ καὶ Ἀβδειὰ καὶ Ἀνόν· πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἐσήλ.
Azel had six sons, and these were their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀσηλ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ· Ἀἰλὰμ πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ, καὶ Γὰγ ὁδεύτερος· Ἐλιφάλεις ὁ τρίτος.
The sons of his brother Eshek: Ulam was his firstborn, Jeush second, and Eliphelet third.
καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ Αἰλεὶμ ἰσχυροὶ ἄνδρες δυνάμει, τείνοντες τόξον καὶ πληθύνοντες υἱοὺς καὶ υἱοὺς τῶν υἱῶν, ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα. πάντες οὗτοι ἐξ υἱῶν Βενιαμείν.
The sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor, archers, and they had many sons and grandsons—150 in all. All these were the descendants of Benjamin.
