Καὶ τοῖς υἱρῖς Ἰσσαχὰρ· Θολάεκ καὶ Φοὐτ καὶ Ἰασσοὺρ καὶ Σεμερών, τέσσαρες.
The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puah (note: Puah is a variant of Puvah; see Genesis 46:13 and Numbers 26:23.), Jashub, and Shimron—four in all.
καὶ υἱοὶ Uολέ· Ὀζεί, Ῥαφαρὰ καὶ Ῥειὴλ καὶ Εἰικάν, Βασὰν καὶ Ἰσαμουήλ, ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν τῷ Θωλαεὶ ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν. ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν ἡμέραις Δαυεὶδ εἴκοσι καὶ δύο χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι.
The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Shemuel, the heads of their families. In the days of David, 22,600 descendants of Tola were numbered in their genealogies as mighty men of valor.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ζειρρεί Σαρειά, Μειχαήλ· καὶ υἱοὶ Ζαρειὰ Μειβδειὰ καὶ Ῥαήλ, Εἰσιά, πέντε, ἄρχοντες πάντες.
The son (note: Hebrew sons; also in verses 10 and 17) of Uzzi: Izrahiah. The sons of Izrahiah: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah. All five of them were chiefs.
καὶ ἐπʼ αὐτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν κατʼ οἴκους πατρικοὺς αὐτῶν ἰσχυροὶ παρατάξασθαι εἰς πόλεμον τριάκοντα καὶ ἓξ χιλιάδες, ὅτι ἐπλήθυναν γυναῖκας καὶ υἱούς.
In addition to them, according to their genealogy, they had 36,000 troops for battle, for they had many wives and children.
καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν εἰς πάσας πατριὰς Ἰσσαχὰρ καὶ ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει ὁγδοήκοντα καὶ ἑπτὰ χιλιάδες, ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν τῶν πάντων.
Their kinsmen belonging to all the families of Issachar who were mighty men of valor totaled 87,000, as listed in their genealogies.
καὶ υἱοὶ Βάδεε· Ἀσεβὼν καὶ Οζεὶ καὶ Οζειὴλ καὶ Ἀρειμώθ, Οὐρεί, πέντε, ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατρικῶν ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει, καὶ ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν εἴκοσι καὶ δύο χιλιάδες καὶ τριάκοντα τέσσαρες.
The sons of Bela: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri, heads of their families—five in all. There were 22,034 mighty men of valor listed in their genealogies.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀβαχεί Ἀμαρίας καὶ Ἰωὰς καὶ Ἐλιέζερ καὶ Ἐλειθαινὰν καὶ Ἀμαρειὰ καὶ Αὐρημὼθ καὶ Ἀβιοὺδ καὶ Ἀναθὼθ καὶ Γεμέεθ. πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἀμαχείρ,
The sons of Becher: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth; all these were Becher’s sons.
καὶ ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν, ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει, εἵκοσι χιλιάδες καὶ διακόσιοι.
Their genealogies were recorded according to the heads of their families—20,200 mighty men of valor.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀριήλ· Βαλαάν. καὶ υἱοὶ Βαλαάν· Ἰαοὺς καὶ Βενιαμεὶν καὶ Ἀὼθ καὶ Χανάαν καὶ Ζαιθὰν καὶ Ῥαμεσσαὶ καὶ Ἀχεισάδαρ.
The son of Jediael: Bilhan. The sons of Bilhan: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar.
πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἀριήκ, ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει, ἑπτὰ καὶ δέκα χιλιάδες καὶ διακόσιοι, ἐκπορευόμενοι δυνάμει τοῦ πολεμεῖν·
All these sons of Jediael were heads of their families, mighty men of valor; there were 17,200 fit for battle.
καὶ Σαπφεὶν καὶ Ἀπφείν, καὶ υἱοὶ Ῥαώμ, υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Ἀἐρ.
The Shuppites and Huppites were descendants of Ir, and the Hushites were descendants of Aher.
Υἱοὶ Νεφθαλεί Ἰεισιήλ, Γωνεὶ καὶ Ἰσσειὴρ καὶ Σαλωμών, υἱοὶ Βαλάμ.
The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel (note: Jahziel is a variant of Jahzeel; see Genesis 46:24.), Guni, Jezer, and Shallum (note: Most Hebrew manuscripts; some Hebrew and LXX manuscripts Shillem; see Genesis 46:24 and Numbers 26:49.)—the descendants of Bilhah.
Υἱοὶ Μανασσή· Ἀσερειήλ, ὃν ἔτεκεν ἡ παλλακὴ αὐτοῦ ἡ Σύρα· ἔτεκεν τὸν Μαχεὶρ πατέρα Γαλαὰδ.
The descendants of Manasseh: Asriel through his Aramean concubine. She also gave birth to Machir the father of Gilead.
καὶ Μαχεὶρ ἔλαβεν γυναῖκα τῷ Ἀμφεὶν καὶ Μαμφείν· καὶ ὄνομα ἀδελφῆς αὐτοῦ Μοωχά, καὶ ὄνομα τῇ δευτέρᾳ Σαπφαάδ.
Machir took a wife from among the Huppites and Shuppites. The name of his sister was Maacah. Another descendant was named Zelophehad, who had only daughters.
καὶ ἔτεκεν Μοωχὰ γυνὴ Μαχεὶρ υἱόν, καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Σοῦρος· υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Οὐλάμ,
Machir’s wife Maacah gave birth to a son, and she named him Peresh. His brother was named Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rekem.
Βαδάμ. οὅτοι υἱοὶ Γαλαὰδ υἱοῦ Μαχεὶρ υἱοῦ Μανασσή.
The son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.
καὶ ἀδελφὴ αὐτοῦ ἡ Μαλέχεθ ἔτεκεν τὸν Ἰσαδὲκ καὶ τὸν Ἀβιέζερ καὶ τὸν Μαελά.
His sister Hammolecheth gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
καὶ ἤσαν υἱοὶ Σεμειρά· Ἰααὶμ καὶ Σύχεμ καὶ λακεεὶμ καὶ Ἀλιαλείμ.
And these were the sons of Shemida: Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.
Καὶ υἱοὶ Ἐφράιμ· Σωθάλαθ. υἱοὶ Λααδά· υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Νοομέ,
The descendants of Ephraim: Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eleadah his son, Tahath his son,
υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Σάβεδ, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ Ὄζαρ καὶ Ἐλαάδ· καὶ ἀπέκτειναν αὐτὸν ἄνδρες Τὲθ οἱ τεχθέντες ἐν γῇ, ὅτι κατέβησαν τοῦ λαβεῖν τὰ κτήνη αὐτῶν.
Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son. Ezer and Elead were killed by the natives of Gath, because they went down to steal their livestock.
καὶ ἐπένθησεν Ἐφράιμ πατὴρ αὐτῶν ἡμέρας πολλάς, καὶ ἦλθον ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν τοῦ παρακαλέσαι αὐτόν,
Their father Ephraim mourned for many days, and his relatives came to comfort him.
καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔλαβεν ἐν γαστρὶ καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱόν, καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Βαργαά, ὅτι Ἐν κακοῖς ἐγένετο ἐν οἴκῳ μου
And again he slept with his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. So he named him Beriah (note: Beriah sounds like the Hebrew for tragedy or disaster.), because tragedy had come upon his house.
καὶ ἐν ἐκείνοις τοῖς καταλοίποις· καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν Βαιθωρὼν τὴν κάτω καὶ τὴν ἄνω. καὶ υἱοὶ Οζάν· Σεηρὰ
His daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper Beth-horon, as well as Uzzen-sheerah.
καὶ Ῥάφη υἱρὶ αὐτοῦ, Σάραφ καὶ Θάλεες υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ, θάεν υἱὸς αὐτοῦ.
Additionally, Rephah was his son, Resheph his son, Telah his son, Tahan his son,
τῷ ΛΑδδὰν υἱῷ αὐτοῦ υἱρὶ Ἀμιουείδ, υἱρὶ Ἐλειμασαί,
Ladan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,
καὶ κατάσχεσις αὐτῶν καὶ κατοικία αὐτῶν· Βαιθὴλ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς, κατʼ ἀνατολὰς Νααρνάν, πρὸς δυσμαῖς Γάζερ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς, καὶ Συχἰμ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς ἕως Γαιὰν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς·
Their holdings and settlements included Bethel and its villages, Naaran to the east, Gezer and its villages to the west, and Shechem and its villages as far as Ayyah (note: Ayyah is another name for Gaza; see also LXX.) and its villages.
καὶ ἕως ὁρίων υἱῶν Μανασσή, Βαιθσαὰν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς, Θαλμὴ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς· καὶ Βαλὰδ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς, Μαγεδδεὶ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς, Δὼρ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς· ἐν ταύτῃ κατῷκησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰωσὴφ υἱοῦ Ἰσραήλ.
And along the borders of Manasseh were Beth- (note: Beth-shean is a variant of Beth-shan; see 1 Samuel 31:10 and 2 Samuel 21:12.)shean, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, together with their villages. The descendants of Joseph son of Israel lived in these towns.
Υἱοὶ Ἀσήρ· Ἰνινὰ καὶ Ἰσουὰ καὶ Ἰσουὶ καὶ Βεριγὰ καὶ Σορέ, καὶ ἀδελφὴ αὐτῶν.
The children of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah.
υἱοὶ Βεριχά· Γάβερ καὶ Μελλειή, οὗτος πατὴρ Βηζαίθ.
The sons of Beriah: Heber, as well as Malchiel, who was the father of Birzaith.
καὶ Χάβερ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἰφαμὴλ καὶ τὸν Σαμὴρ καὶ τὸν Χωθὰν καὶ τὴν Σωλὰ ἀδελφὴν αὐτῶν.
Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer, and Hotham, and of their sister Shua.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀφαλήχ· Βαισηχί. μαβαὴλ καὶ ᾈσεῖΘ· οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἰαφαλήλ.
The sons of Japhlet: Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These were Japhlet’s sons.
καὶ υἱοὶ Σἐμμηρ· Ἀχιουιὰ καὶ Ὠβάβ, Ἀκαρὰν
The sons of Shemer: Ahi, Rohgah (note: Or The sons of his brother Shemer: Rohgah; note that Shemer is a variant of Shomer; see verse 32.), Hubbah, and Aram.
καὶ Βαλαάμ· ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ Σωχὰθ καὶ Ἰμανὰ καὶ Ζέμη καὶ Ἀμαά.
The sons of his brother Helem (note: Helem is possibly another name for Hotham; see verse 32.): Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.
υἱοὶ Σωφάς· Χουχί, Ἁναρφὰρ καὶ Σουλὰ καὶ Σαβρεὶ καὶ Ἰμαρή,
The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,
Σόβαλ καὶ Ὣδ καὶ Σεμὰ καὶ Σαλεισὰ καὶ Θερὰ καὶ Βαιαιλά.
Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran (note: Ithran is possibly a variant of Jether; see verse 38.), and Beera.
πάντες οὖτοι υἱοὶ Ἀσήρ, πάντες ἄρχοντες πατριῶν ἐκλεκτοὶ ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει, ἄρχοντες ἡγούμενοι ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν εἰς παράταξιν τοῦ πολεμεῖν, ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν ἄνδρες εἴκοσι ἓξ χιλιάδες.
All these were the descendants of Asher—heads of their families, choice and mighty men of valor, and chiefs among the leaders. The number of men fit for battle, recorded in their genealogies, was 26,000.
