The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀμβράν· Ἀαρὼν καὶ Μωυσῆς καὶ Μαριάμ. καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀαρών· Ναδὰβ καὶ Ἀβούδ, Ἐλεάζαρ καὶ Ἰθαμάρ.
The children of Amram: Aaron, Moses, and Miriam. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Ἐλεάζαρ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Φεινεές. Φεινεές ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἀβεισού,
Eleazar was the father of Phinehas, Phinehas was the father of Abishua,
Αβεισοὺ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Βωέ, καὶ Βωὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ὀζεί,
Abishua was the father of Bukki, Bukki was the father of Uzzi,
Ὀζεὶ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ζαραιά, Ζαραιὰ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαρειήλ,
Uzzi was the father of Zerahiah, Zerahiah was the father of Meraioth,
καὶ Μαρειὴλ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἀμαρειά, καὶ Αμαρειὰ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἀχειτώβ,
Meraioth was the father of Amariah, Amariah was the father of Ahitub,
καὶ Ἀχειτὼβ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαδώκ, καὶ Σαδὼκ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἀχειμάας,
Ahitub was the father of Zadok, Zadok was the father of Ahimaaz,
καὶ Ἀχειμάας ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἀζαρία, καὶ Ἀζαρίας ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἰωανάς,
Ahimaaz was the father of Azariah, Azariah was the father of Johanan,
καὶ Ἰωανὰς ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἀζαρίαν· οὗτος ἱεράτευσεν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ ᾧ ῳᾠκοδόμησεν Σαλωμὼν ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ.
Johanan was the father of Azariah, who served as priest in the temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem,
καὶ ἐγέννησεν Ἀζαρία τὸν Ἀμαριά, καὶ Ἀμαριὰ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἀχειτώβ,
Azariah was the father of Amariah, Amariah was the father of Ahitub,
καὶ Ἀχειτὼβ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαδώκ, καὶ Σαδὼκ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαλώμ,
Ahitub was the father of Zadok, Zadok was the father of Shallum,
καὶ Σαλὼμ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Χελκείαν, καὶ Χελκείας ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἀζαρία,
Shallum was the father of Hilkiah, Hilkiah was the father of Azariah,
καὶ Ἀζαρίας ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαραία, καὶ Σαραίας ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἰωσαδάκ.
Azariah was the father of Seraiah, and Seraiah was the father of Jehozadak (note: Jehozadak is a variant of Jozadak; also in verse 15; see Ezra 3:2.).
καὶ Ἰωσαδὰκ ἐπορεύθη ἐν τῇ μετοικίᾳ μετὰ Ἰούδα καὶ Ἰερουσαλὴμ ἐν χειρὶ Ναβουχοδονοσόρ.
Jehozadak went into captivity when the LORD sent Judah and Jerusalem into exile by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.
Υἰ ἱοὶ Λευεί Γεδσών, Καὰθ καὶ Μαραρεί.
The sons of Levi: Gershom (note: Gershom is a variant of Gershon; similarly in verses 17, 20, 43, 62, and 71; see verse 1.), Kohath, and Merari.
καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσών· Λοβενεὶ καὶ Σεμεεί.
These are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.
υἱοὶ Καάθ· Ἀμβρὰμ καὶ Ἰσσαάρ, Χεβρὼν καὶ Οζειήλ.
The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

The descendants of Merari: Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son,

Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, and Asaiah his son.
Καὶ οὗτοι οὓς κατέστησεν Δαυεὶδ ἐπὶ χεῖρας ᾀδόντων ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου ἐν τῇ καταπαύσει τῆς κιβωτοῦ.
These are the men David put in charge of the music in the house of the LORD after the ark rested there.
καὶ ἦσαν λειτουργοῦντες ἐναντίον τῆς σκηνῆς οἴκου μαρτυρίου ἐν ὀργάνοις ἕως οὗ ᾠκοδόμησεν Σαλωμὼν τὸν οἶκον ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ· καὶ ἔστησαν κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὰς λειτουργίας αὐτῶν.
They ministered with song before the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, until Solomon built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem. And they performed their duties according to the regulations given them.
καὶ οὗτοι οἱ ἑστηκότες καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτῶν ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν τοῦ Καάθ· Ἀἱμὰν ὁ ψαλτῳ Ἰωήλ υἱοῦ Σαμουὴλ
These are the men who served, together with their sons. From the Kohathites: Heman the singer, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel,
υἱοῦ Ἐλκανὰ υἱοῦ Ἠαὰλ υἱοῦ Ἐλειὴλ υἱοῦ φεῖε
the son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel (note: Eliel is also called Eliab; see verse 27. Both of these are other names for Elihu; see 1 Samuel 1:1.), the son of Toah,
υἱοῦ Σοὺφ υἱοῦ Ελκανὰ υἱοῦ Μὲθ υἱοῦ Ἀμαθειοὸ
the son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,
υἱοῦ Ἐλκανὰ υἱοῦ Ἰωήλ υἱοῦ Ἀζαρία υἱοῦ Σαφανιὰ
the son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,
υἱοῦ Θάαθ υἱοῦ Ἀσεὶρ υἱοῦ Ἀβιασὰρ υἱοῦ Κόρε
the son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,

the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.
καὶ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ Ἀσὰφ ὁ ἑστηκὼς ἐν δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦ· Ἀσὰφ υἱὸς Βαραχιὰ υἱοῦ Σαμαὰ
Heman’s kinsman was Asaph, who served at his right hand: Asaph the son of Berechiah, the son of Shimea,
υἱοῦ Μειχαὴλ υἱοῦ Μαασαὶ υἱοῦ Μελχειὰ
the son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah (note: Most Hebrew manuscripts; some Hebrew manuscripts, one LXX manuscript, and Syriac Maaseiah), the son of Malchijah,
καὶ υἱοὶ Μεραρεὶ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτῶν ἐξ ἀριστερῶν· Αἰθὰμ υἱὸς Κεισαὶ υἱοῦ Ἀβδεὶ υού Μαλὼχ
On the left were their kinsmen, the sons of Merari: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,
υἱοῦ Μοολεὶ Μοσεὶ υἱοῦ Μερραρεὶ υἱοῦ Λευεί.
the son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.
Καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν κατʼ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν οἱ Λευεῖται δεδομένοι εἰς πᾶσαν ἐργασίαν λειτουργίας σκηνῆς οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ,
Their fellow Levites were assigned to every kind of service of the tabernacle, the house of God.
καὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ θυμιῶντες ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τῶν ὁλοκαυταωμάτων καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τῶν θυμιαμάτων εἰς πᾶσαν ἐργασίαν ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων καὶ ἐξιλάσκεσθαι περὶ Ἰσραὴλ κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο Μωυσῆς παῖς τοῦ θεοῦ.
But Aaron and his sons did all the work of the Most Holy Place. They presented the offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
Καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἀαρών· Ἐεαζαρ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Φεινεὲς υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ἀβεισοὺ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ,
These were the descendants of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,
Βωκαὶ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ὀζεὶ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ζαραιὰ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ,
Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,
Μαρειὴλ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ἀλιαρειὰ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ἀχειτὼβ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ,
Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,
Καὶ αὗται αἱ κατοικίαι αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς κώμαις αὐτῶν ἐν τοῖς ὁρίοις αὐτῶν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἀαρὼν τῇ πατρίᾷ αὐτῶν τοῦ Κααθεί, ὅτι αὐτοῖς ἐγένετο ὁ κλῆρος.
Now these were the territories assigned to the descendants of Aaron from the Kohathite clan for their settlements, because the first lot fell to them:
καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτοῖς τὴν Χεβρὼν ἐν τῇ Ἰουδαίᾳ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς κύκλῳ αὐτῆς.
They were given Hebron in the land of Judah and its surrounding pasturelands.
καὶ τὰ πεδία τῆς πόλεως καὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτῆς ἔδωκαν τῷ Χαλέβ υἱῷ Ἰεφοννή.
But the fields and villages around the city were given to Caleb son of Jephunneh.
καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἀαρὼν ἔδωκαν τὰς πόλεις τῶν φυγαδευτηρίων, τὴν Χεβρών, καὶ τὴν Λοβνὰ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Σελνὰ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Ἐσθαμὼ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς,
So the descendants of Aaron were given Hebron (a city of refuge), Libnah, Jattir, Eshtemoa,
καὶ τὴν Ἀσὰν καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Αττὰν καὶ τὰ περσπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Βασάμυς·
Ashan (note: Ashan is a variant of Ain; see Joshua 21:16.), Juttah, and Beth-shemesh, together with their pasturelands.
καὶ ἐκ φυλῆς Βενιαμεὶν καὶ τὴν Γάβαι καὶ τά περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Γαλέμεθ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Ἀγχῶχ καὶ τά περισπόρια αὐτῆς· πᾶσαι αἱ πόλεις αὐτῶν τρισκαίδεκα πόλεις κατά πατριὰς αὐτῶν.
And from the tribe of Benjamin they were given Gibeon, Geba, Alemeth, and Anathoth, together with their pasturelands. So they had thirteen cities in all among their families.
καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Καάθ τοῖς καταλοίποις ἐκ τῶν πατριῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς ἐκ τοῦ ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασσὴ κλήρῳ πόλεις δέκα.
To the rest of the Kohathites, ten cities were allotted from the half-tribe of Manasseh.
καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Γεδσὼν κατὰ πατριὰς αὐτῶν ἐκ φυλῆς Ἰσσαχὰρ, ἐκ φυλῆς Ἀσήρ, ἐκ φυλῆς Νεφθαλεί, ἐκ φυλῆς Μανασσὴ ἐν τῇ Βασὰν πόλεις τρισκαίδεκα.
The Gershomites (note: Gershomites is a variant of Gershonites; also in verse 71; see 1 Chronicles 23:7.), according to their clans, were allotted thirteen cities from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and Manasseh in Bashan.
καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Μεραρεὶ κατὰ πατριὰς αὐτῶν ἐκ φυλῆς Ῥουβὴν, ἐκ φυλῆς Δάν, ἐκ φυλῆς Ζαβουλὼν κλήρῳ πόλεις δέκα δύο.
The Merarites, according to their clans, were allotted twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
καὶ ἔδωκαν οἱ υἱκρὶ Ἰσραὴλ τοῖς Λευείταις τὰς πόλεις καὶ τὰ περισπόρια οὐτῶν·
So the Israelites gave to the Levites these cities and their pasturelands.
καὶ ἔδωκαν ἐν κλήρῳ ἐκ φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἰούδα καὶ ἐκ φυλῆς υἱῶν Συμεὼν τὰς πόλεις ταύτας ἃ ἐκάλεσεν αὐτάς.
They assigned by lot the cities named above from the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πατριῶν υἱῶν Καάθ, καὶ ἐγένοντο πόλεις τῶν ὁρίων αὐτῶν ἐκ φυλῆς Ἐφράιμ.
And some of the clans of the Kohathites were given cities from the tribe of Ephraim for their territory:
καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτῷ τὰς πόλεις τῶν φυγαδευτηρίων, τὴν Συχἐμ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς ἐν ὄρει Ἐφράιμ, καὶ τὴν Γάζερ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς,
They were given Shechem (a city of refuge (note: As in the parallel text at Joshua 21:21; Hebrew They were given the cities of refuge: Shechem)) with its pasturelands in the hill country of Ephraim, and Gezer,
καὶ τὴν Ἰκαὰμ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Βαιθώρων καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς,
Jokmeam, Beth-horon,
καὶ τὴν Ἐγλὰμ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Γεθωρὼν καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς·
Aijalon, and Gath-rimmon, together with their pasturelands.
καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασσὴ τὴν Ἀμὰρ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, κατὰ πατριὰν τοῖς υἱοῖς Καὰθ τοῖς καταλοίποις.
And from the half-tribe of Manasseh the rest of the clans of the Kohathites were given Aner and Bileam, together with their pasturelands.
τοῖς υἱοῖς Γεδσὼν ἀπὸ πατριῶν ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασσὴ τὴν Γωλὰν ἐκ τῆς Βασὰν καὶ τὰ περιπόλια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Ἀσηρὼθ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς·
The Gershomites received the following: From the clan of the half-tribe of Manasseh they were given Golan in Bashan and also Ashtaroth, together with their pasturelands.
καὶ ἐκ φυλῆς Ἰσσαχὰρ τὴν Κέδες καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Δεβερεὶ καὶ τά περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Δαβὼρ καὶ τά περισπόρια αὐτῆς·
From the tribe of Issachar they were given Kedesh, Daberath,
καὶ ἐκ φυλῆς Ἀσὴρ τὴν Μαασά καὶ τά περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Ἀβαρὰν καὶ τὰ περισπορια αὐτῆς,
From the tribe of Asher they were given Mashal, Abdon,
καὶ τὴν Ἰκὰκ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Ῥοὼβ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς·
Hukok, and Rehob, together with their pasturelands.
καὶ ἀπὸ φυλῆς Νεφθαλεὶ τὴν Κέδες ἐν τῇ Γαλειλαίᾳ καὶτὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Χαμὼθ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Καριαθάιμ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς.
And from the tribe of Naphtali they were given Kedesh in Galilee, Hammon, and Kiriathaim, together with their pasturelands.
τοῖς υἱοῖς Μεραρεὶ τοῖς καταλοίποις ἐκ φυλῆς Ζαβουλὼν τὴν Ῥεμμὼν καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Θαχχειὰ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς
The Merarites (the rest of the Levites) received the following: From the tribe of Zebulun they were given Rimmono and Tabor (note: LXX (they were given) Jokneam, Kartah, Rimmono, and Tabor; see Joshua 21:34.), together with their pasturelands.
ἐκ τοῦ πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου, καὶ τὴν Ἰερειχὼ κατὰ δυσμὰς τοῦ Ἰορδάνου· ἐκ φυλῆς Ῥουβὴν τὴν Βοσὸρ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς,
From the tribe of Reuben east of the Jordan opposite Jericho they were given Bezer in the wilderness, Jahzah,
καὶ τὴν Καδαμὼς καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Μαέφλα καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς·
Kedemoth, and Mephaath, together with their pasturelands.
καὶ ἐκ φυλῆς Γὰδ τὴν Ῥαμμὼν Γαλαὰδ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Μαανάιθ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς,
And from the tribe of Gad they were given Ramoth in Gilead, Mahanaim,
καὶ τὴν Ἐσεβαὼν καὶ τὰ τπερισπόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ τὴν Γαζέρ καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς.
Heshbon, and Jazer, together with their pasturelands.
