Und der Engel, der mit mir redete, kam wieder und weckte mich auf, wie einer vom Schlaf erweckt wird,
Then the angel who was speaking with me returned and woke me, as a man is awakened from his sleep.
und sprach zu mir: Was siehst du? Ich aber sprach: Ich sehe; und siehe, da stand ein Leuchter, ganz golden, mit einer Schale obendarauf, daran sieben Lampen waren, und je sieben Röhren an einer Lampe;
“What do you see?” he asked. “I see a solid gold lampstand,” I replied, “with a bowl at the top and seven lamps on it, with seven spouts to the lamps.
und zwei Ölbäume dabei, einer zur Rechten der Schale, der andere zur Linken.
There are also two olive trees beside it, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left.”
Und ich antwortete und sprach zu dem Engel, der mit mir redete: Mein Herr, was ist das?
“What are these, my lord?” I asked the angel who was speaking with me.
Und der Engel, der mit mir redete, antwortete und sprach zu mir: Weißt du nicht, was das ist? Ich aber sprach: Nein, mein Herr.
“Do you not know what they are?” replied the angel. “No, my lord,” I answered.
Und er antwortete und sprach zu mir: Das ist das Wort des HErrn von Serubabel: Es soll nicht durch Heer oder Kraft, sondern durch meinen Geist geschehen, spricht der HErr Zebaoth.
So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of Hosts.
Wer bist du, du großer Berg, der doch vor Serubabel eine Ebene sein muss? Und er soll aufführen den ersten Stein, dass man rufen wird: Glück zu! Glück zu!
What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain. Then he will bring forth the capstone accompanied by shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”
Und es geschah zu mir das Wort des HErrn und sprach:
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Die Hände Serubabels haben dies Haus gegründet; seine Hände sollen's auch vollenden, dass ihr erfahret, dass mich der HErr zu euch gesandt hat.
“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will complete it. Then you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent me to you.
Denn wer ist, der diese geringen Tage verachte? Es werden mit Freuden sehen das Richtblei in Serubabels Hand jene sieben, welche sind des HErrn Augen, die alle Lande durchziehen.
For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven eyes (note: Or facets) of the LORD, which scan the whole earth, will rejoice when they see the plumb line (note: Or the chosen capstone) in the hand of Zerubbabel.”
Und ich antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Was sind die zwei Ölbäume zur Rechten und zur Linken des Leuchters?
Then I asked the angel, “What are the two olive trees on the right and left of the lampstand?”
Und ich antwortete zum andernmal und sprach zu ihm: Was sind die zwei Zweige der Ölbäume, welche stehen bei den zwei goldenen Rinnen, daraus das goldene Öl herabfließt?
And I questioned him further, “What are the two olive branches beside the two gold pipes from which the golden oil pours?”
Und er sprach zu mir: Weißt du nicht, was diese sind? ich aber sprach: Nein, mein Herr.
“Do you not know what these are?” he inquired. “No, my lord,” I replied.
Und er sprach: Es sind die zwei Gesalbten, welche stehen bei dem Herrscher aller Lande.
So he said, “These are the two anointed ones (note: Hebrew the two sons of new oil) who are standing beside the Lord of all the earth (note: See Revelation 11:4.).”
