Und er zeigte mir einen lautern Strom des lebendigen Wassers, klar wie ein Kristall; der ging aus von dem Stuhl Gottes und des Lammes.
Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
Mitten auf ihrer Gasse auf beiden Seiten des Stroms stand Holz des Lebens, das trug zwölfmal Früchte und brachte seine Früchte alle Monate; und die Blätter des Holzes dienten zu der Gesundheit der Heiden.
down the middle of the main street of the city. On either side of the river stood a tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit and yielding a fresh crop for each month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
Und es wird kein Verbanntes mehr sein. Und der Stuhl Gottes und des Lammes wird darin sein; und seine Knechte werden ihm dienen
No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be within the city, and His servants will worship Him.
und sehen sein Angesicht; und sein Name wird an ihren Stirnen sein.
They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
Und wird keine Nacht da sein, und sie werden nicht bedürfen einer Leuchte oder des Lichts der Sonne; denn Gott der Herr wird sie erleuchten, und sie werden regieren von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit.
There will be no more night in the city, and they will have no need for the light of a lamp or of the sun. For the Lord God will shine on them, and they will reign forever and ever.
Und er sprach zu mir: Diese Worte sind gewiss und wahrhaftig; und der Herr, der Gott der Geister der Propheten, hat seinen Engel gesandt, zu zeigen seinen Knechten, was bald geschehen muss.
Then the angel said to me, “These words are faithful and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent His angel to show His servants what must soon (note: Or suddenly or quickly; similarly in verses 7, 12, and 20) take place.”
Siehe, ich komme bald. Selig ist, der da hält die Worte der Weissagung in diesem Buch.
“Behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of prophecy in this book (note: Or scroll; also in verses 9, 10, 18, 19).”
Und ich bin Johannes, der solches gehört hat. Und da ich's gehört und gesehen, fiel ich nieder, anzubeten zu den Füßen des Engels, der mir solches zeigte.
And I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown me these things.
Und er spricht zu mir: Siehe zu, tu es nicht! denn ich bin dein Mitknecht und deiner Brüder, der Propheten, und derer, die da halten die Worte dieses Buchs. Bete Gott an!
But he said to me, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”
Und er spricht zu mir: Versiegle nicht die Worte der Weissagung in diesem Buch; denn die Zeit ist nahe!
Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of prophecy in this book, because the time is near.
Wer böse ist, der sei fernerhin böse, und wer unrein ist, der sei fernerhin unrein; aber wer fromm ist, der sei fernerhin fromm, und wer heilig ist, der sei fernerhin heilig.
Let the unrighteous continue to be unrighteous, and the vile continue to be vile; let the righteous continue to practice righteousness, and the holy continue to be holy.”
Siehe, ich komme bald und mein Lohn mit mir, zu geben einem jeglichen, wie seine Werke sein werden.
“Behold, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to what he has done.
Ich bin das A und das O, der Anfang und das Ende, der Erste und der Letzte.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
Selig sind, die seine Gebote halten, auf dass sie Macht haben an dem Holz des Lebens und zu den Toren eingehen in die Stadt.
Blessed are those who wash their robes (note: BYZ and TR Blessed are those who do His commandments), so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates.
Denn draußen sind die Hunde und die Zauberer und die Hurer und die Totschläger und die Abgöttischen und alle, die liebhaben und tun die Lüge.
But outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
Ich, Jesus, habe gesandt meinen Engel, solches zu bezeugen an die Gemeinden. Ich bin die Wurzel des Geschlechts David, der helle Morgenstern.
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.”
Und der Geist und die Braut sprechen: Komm! Und wer es hört, der spreche: Komm! Und wen dürstet, der komme; und wer da will, der nehme das Wasser des Lebens umsonst.
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Let the one who hears say, “Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come, and the one who desires the water of life drink freely.
Ich bezeuge allen, die da hören die Worte der Weissagung in diesem Buch: So jemand dazusetzt, so wird Gott zusetzen auf ihn die Plagen, die in diesem Buch geschrieben stehen.
I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.
Und so jemand davontut von den Worten des Buchs dieser Weissagung, so wird Gott abtun sein Teil vom Holz des Lebens und von der heiligen Stadt, davon in diesem Buch geschrieben ist.
And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and the holy city, which are described in this book.
Es spricht, der solches bezeugt: Ja, ich komme bald. Amen, ja komm, Herr Jesu!
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
Die Gnade unsres Herrn Jesu Christi sei mit euch allen! Amen.
