Psalms 92

Louis Segond 1910 · Berean Standard Bible

Psaume. Cantique pour le jour du sabbat.
A Psalm. A song for the Sabbath day. It is good to praise the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High,
Il est beau de louer l’Éternel,
to proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning and Your faithfulness at night
D’annoncer le matin ta bonté,
with the ten-stringed harp and the melody of the lyre.
Sur l’instrument à dix cordes et sur le luth,
For You, O LORD, have made me glad by Your deeds; I sing for joy at the works of Your hands.
Tu me réjouis par tes œuvres, ô Éternel!
How great are Your works, O LORD, how deep are Your thoughts!
Que tes œuvres sont grandes, ô Éternel!
A senseless man does not know, and a fool does not understand,
L’homme stupide n’y connaît rien,
that though the wicked sprout like grass, and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed.
Si les méchants croissent comme l’herbe,
But You, O LORD, are exalted forever!
Mais toi, tu es le Très-Haut,
For surely Your enemies, O LORD, surely Your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered.
Car voici, tes ennemis, ô Éternel!
But You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; with fine oil I have been anointed.
Et tu me donnes la force du buffle;
My eyes see the downfall of my enemies; my ears hear the wailing of my wicked foes (note: Or my ears hear evildoers when they rise against me).
Mon œil se plaît à contempler mes ennemis,
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Les justes croissent comme le palmier,
Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
Plantés dans la maison de l’Éternel,
In old age they will still bear fruit; healthy and green they will remain,
Ils portent encore des fruits dans la vieillesse,
to proclaim, “The LORD is upright; He is my Rock, and in Him there is no unrighteousness.”
