6:1

For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments, according to . A Psalm of David. O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger or discipline me in Your wrath.

6:2

Yahweh, ne me punis pas dans ta colère, et ne me châtie pas dans ta fureur.

Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am frail; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are in agony.

6:3

Aie pitié de moi, Yahweh, car je suis sans force ; guéris-moi, Yahweh, car mes os sont tremblants.

My soul is deeply distressed. How long, O LORD, how long?

6:4

Mon âme est dans un trouble extrême ; et toi, Yahweh, jusques à quand... ?

Turn, O LORD, and deliver my soul; save me because of Your loving devotion.

6:5

Reviens, Yahweh, délivre mon âme ; sauve-moi à cause de ta miséricorde.

For there is no mention of You in death; who can praise You from Sheol?

6:6

Car celui qui meurt n'a plus souvenir de toi ; qui te louera dans le schéol ?

I am weary from groaning; all night I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.

6:7

Je suis épuisé à force de gémir ; chaque nuit ma couche est baignée de mes larmes, mon lit est arrosé de mes pleurs.

My eyes fail from grief; they grow dim because of all my foes.

6:8

mon œil est consumé par le chagrin ; il a vieilli à cause de tous ceux qui me persécutent.

Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for the LORD has heard my weeping.

6:9

Eloignez-vous de moi, vous tous qui faites le mal ! Car Yahweh a entendu la voix de mes larmes.

The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.

6:10

Yahweh a entendu ma supplication, Yahweh accueille ma prière.

All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
