For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. A song. Praise awaits You, O God, in Zion; to You our vows will be fulfilled.
A toi est due la louange, ô Dieu, dans Sion ; c'est en ton honneur qu'on accomplit les vœux.
O You who listen to prayer, all people will come to You.
O toi, qui écoutes la prière, tous les hommes viennent à toi.
When iniquities prevail against me, You atone for our transgressions.
Un amas d'iniquités pesait sur moi : tu pardonnes nos transgressions.
Blessed is the one You choose and bring near to dwell in Your courts! We are filled with the goodness of Your house, the holiness of Your temple.
Heureux celui que tu choisis et que tu rapproches de toi, pour qu'il habite dans tes parvis ! Puissions-nous être rassasiés des biens de ta maison, de ton saint temple !
With awesome deeds of righteousness You answer us, O God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas.
Par des prodiges, tu nous exauces dans ta justice, Dieu de notre salut, espoir des extrémités de la terre, et des mers lointaines.
You formed the mountains by Your power, having girded Yourself with might.

You stilled the roaring of the seas, the pounding of their waves, and the tumult of the nations.
il apaise la fureur des mers, la fureur de leurs flots, et le tumulte des peuples. —
Those who live far away fear Your wonders; You make the dawn and sunset shout for joy (note: Or where morning dawns and evening fades You call forth songs of joy.).
Les habitants des pays lointains craignent devant tes prodiges, tu réjouis les extrémités, l'Orient et l'Occident.
You attend to the earth and water it (note: Or and make it overflow); with abundance You enrich it. The streams of God are full of water, for You prepare our grain by providing for the earth.
Tu as visité la terre pour lui donner l'abondance, tu la combles de richesses ; la source divine est remplie d'eau : tu prépares le blé, quand tu la fertilises ainsi.
You soak its furrows and level its ridges; You soften it with showers and bless its growth.
Arrosant ses sillons, aplanissant ses mottes, tu l'amollis par des ondées, tu bénis ses germes.
You crown the year with Your bounty, and Your paths overflow with plenty.
Tu couronnes l'année de tes bienfaits, sur tes pas ruisselle la graisse.
The pastures of the wilderness overflow; the hills are robed with joy.
Les pâturages du désert sont abreuvés, et les collines se revêtent d'allégresse.
The pastures are clothed with flocks, and the valleys are decked with grain. They shout in triumph; indeed, they sing.
