62:1

Ein Psalm Davids für Jeduthun, vorzusingen.

For the choirmaster. According to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. In God alone my soul finds rest; my salvation comes from Him.

62:2

Meine Seele ist stille zu Gott, der mir hilft.

Denn er ist mein Hort, meine Hilfe, meine Schutz, dass mich kein Fall stürzen wird, wie groß er ist.

^62:2 He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress; I will never be shaken.

62:4

Wie lange stellet ihr alle einem nach, dass ihr ihn erwürget – als eine hangende Wand und zerrissene Mauer?

^62:3 How long will you threaten a man? Will all of you throw him down like a leaning wall or a tottering fence?

62:5

Sie denken nur, wie sie ihn dämpfen, fleißigen sich der Lüge; geben gute Worte, aber im Herzen fluchen sie. (Sela.)

^62:4 They fully intend to cast him down from his lofty perch; they delight in lies; with their mouths they bless, but inwardly they curse. Selah

62:6

Aber sei nur stille zu Gott, meine Seele; denn er ist meine Hoffnung.

^62:5 Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him.

62:7

Er ist mein Hort, meine Hilfe und mein Schutz, dass ich nicht fallen werde.

^62:6 He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not be shaken.

62:8

Bei Gott ist mein Heil, meine Ehre, der Fels meiner Stärke; meine Zuversicht ist auf Gott.

^62:7 My salvation and my honor rest on God, my strong rock; my refuge is in God.

62:9

Hoffet auf ihn allezeit, liebe Leute, schüttet euer Herz vor ihm aus; Gott ist unsre Zuversicht. (Sela.)

^62:8 Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge. Selah

62:10

Aber Menschen sind ja nichts, große Leute fehlen auch; sie wiegen weniger denn nichts, so viel ihrer ist.

^62:9 Lowborn men are but a vapor; the exalted are but a lie. Weighed on the scale, they go up; together they are but a vapor.

62:11

Verlasset euch nicht auf Unrecht und Frevel, haltet euch nicht zu solchem, das eitel ist; fällt euch Reichtum zu, so hänget das Herz nicht daran.

^62:10 Place no trust in extortion or false hope in stolen goods. If your riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.

62:12

Gott hat ein Wort geredet, das habe ich etlichemal gehört: dass Gott allein mächtig ist.

^62:11 God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: that power belongs to God,

62:13

Und du, HERR, bist gnädig und bezahlst einem jeglichen, wie er's verdient.
