Parallel
Psalms 46
Louis Segond 1910 · Berean Standard Bible
Au chef des chantres. Des fils de Koré. Sur alamoth. Cantique.
For the choirmaster. Of the sons of Korah. According to Alamoth (note: Alamoth is probably a musical or liturgical term; here and in 1 Chronicles 15:20.). A song. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.
Dieu est pour nous un refuge et un appui,
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth is transformed and the mountains are toppled into the depths of the seas,
C’est pourquoi nous sommes sans crainte quand la terre est bouleversée,
though their waters roar and foam and the mountains quake in the surge. Selah
Quand les flots de la mer mugissent, écument,
There is a river whose streams delight the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
Il est un fleuve dont les courants réjouissent la cité de Dieu,
God is within her; she will not be moved. God will help her when morning dawns.
Dieu est au milieu d’elle: elle n’est point ébranlée;
Nations rage, kingdoms crumble; the earth melts when He lifts His voice.
Des nations s’agitent, des royaumes s’ébranlent;
The LORD of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
L’Éternel des armées est avec nous,
Come, see the works of the LORD, who brings devastation upon the earth.
Venez, contemplez les œuvres de l’Éternel,
He makes wars to cease throughout the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the shields (note: Or chariots) in the fire.
C’est lui qui a fait cesser les combats jusqu’au bout de la terre;
“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted over the earth.”
Arrêtez, et sachez que je suis Dieu:
The LORD of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
