De David. Rends-moi justice, Yahweh, car j'ai marché dans mon innocence ; je me confie en Yahweh, je ne chancellerai pas.
Of David. Vindicate me, O LORD! For I have walked with integrity; I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.
Eprouve-moi, Yahweh, sonde-moi, fais passer au creuset mes reins et mon cœur :
Test me, O LORD, and try me; examine my heart (note: Hebrew my kidneys) and mind.
car ta miséricorde est devant mes yeux, et je marche dans ta vérité.
For Your loving devotion is before my eyes, and I have walked in Your truth.
Je ne me suis pas assis avec les hommes de mensonge, je ne vais pas avec les hommes dissimulés ;
I do not sit with deceitful men, nor keep company with hypocrites.
Je hais l'assemblée de ceux qui font le mal, je ne siège pas avec les méchants.
I hate the mob of evildoers, and refuse to sit with the wicked.
Je lave mes mains dans l'innocence, et j'entoure ton autel, Yahweh,
I wash my hands in innocence that I may go about Your altar, O LORD,
pour faire entendre une voix de louange ; et raconter toutes tes merveilles.
to raise my voice in thanksgiving and declare all Your wonderful works.
Yahweh, j'aime le séjour de ta maison, le lieu où ta gloire réside.
O LORD, I love the house where You dwell, the place where Your glory resides.
N'enlève pas mon âme avec celle des pécheurs, ma vie avec celle des hommes de sang,
Do not take my soul away with sinners, or my life with men of bloodshed,
qui ont le crime dans les mains, et dont la droite est pleine de présents.
in whose hands are wicked schemes, whose right hands are full of bribes.
Pour moi, je marche en mon innocence : délivre-moi et aie pitié de moi !
But I will walk with integrity; redeem me and be merciful to me.
Mon pied se tient sur un sol uni : je bénirai Yahweh dans les assemblées.
My feet stand on level ground; in the congregations I will bless the LORD.
