A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof (note: Cited in 1 Corinthians 10:26), the world and all who dwell therein.
Denn er hat ihn an die Meere gegründet und an den Wassern bereitet.
For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.
Wer wird auf des HErrn Berg gehen, und wer wird stehen an seiner heiligen Stätte?
Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place?
Der unschuldige Hände hat und reines Herzens ist; der nicht Lust hat zu loser Lehre und schwört nicht fälschlich:
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol (note: Or to falsehood or to vanity) or swear deceitfully.
der wird den Segen vom HErrn empfangen und Gerechtigkeit von dem Gott seines Heils.
He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from the God of his salvation.
Das ist das Geschlecht, das nach ihm fragt, das da sucht dein Antlitz, Gott Jakobs. (Sela.)
Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O God of Jacob. Selah
Machet die Tore weit und die Türen in der Welt hoch, dass der König der Ehren einziehe!
Lift up your heads, O gates! Be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of Glory may enter!
Wer ist derselbe König der Ehren? Es ist der HErr, stark und mächtig, der HErr, mächtig im Streit.
Who is this King of Glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Machet die Tore weit und die Türen in der Welt hoch, dass der König der Ehren einziehe!
Lift up your heads, O gates! Be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of Glory may enter!
