Alleluja. Confitemini Domino, quoniam bonus, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
Hallelujah! Praise the name of the LORD. Give praise, O servants of the LORD,
Confitemini Deo deorum, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
who stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God.
Confitemini Domino dominorum, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
Hallelujah, for the LORD is good; sing praises to His name, for it is lovely.
Qui facit mirabilia magna solus, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
For the LORD has chosen Jacob as His own, Israel as His treasured possession.
Qui fecit cælos in intellectu, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
For I know that the LORD is great; our Lord is above all gods.
Qui firmavit terram super aquas, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
The LORD does all that pleases Him in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and in all their depths.
Qui fecit luminaria magna, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus :
He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He generates the lightning with the rain and brings forth the wind from His storehouses.
solem in potestatem diei, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus ;
He struck down the firstborn of Egypt, of both man and beast.
lunam et stellas in potestatem noctis, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
He sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants.
Qui percussit Ægyptum cum primogenitis eorum, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
He struck down many nations and slaughtered mighty kings:
Qui eduxit Israël de medio eorum, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus,
Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan.
in manu potenti et brachio excelso, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
He gave their land as an inheritance, as a heritage to His people Israel.
Qui divisit mare Rubrum in divisiones, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus ;
Your name, O LORD, endures forever, Your renown, O LORD, through all generations.
et eduxit Israël per medium ejus, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus ;
For the LORD will vindicate His people (note: Or will judge His people; see also LXX; cited in Hebrews 10:30.) and will have compassion on His servants.
et excussit Pharaonem et virtutem ejus in mari Rubro, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by the hands of men.
Qui traduxit populum suum per desertum, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
They have mouths, but cannot speak; they have eyes, but cannot see;
Qui percussit reges magnos, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus ;
they have ears, but cannot hear; nor is there breath in their mouths.
et occidit reges fortes, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus :
Those who make them become like them, as do all who trust in them.
Sehon, regem Amorrhæorum, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus ;
O house of Israel, bless the LORD; O house of Aaron, bless the LORD;
et Og, regem Basan, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus :
O house of Levi, bless the LORD; you who fear the LORD, bless the LORD!
et dedit terram eorum hæreditatem, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus ;
Blessed be the LORD from Zion—He who dwells in Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
