Ein Lied im höhern Chor. Die auf den HErrn hoffen, die werden nicht fallen, sondern ewig bleiben wie der Berg Zion.
A song of ascents. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. It cannot be moved; it abides forever.
Um Jerusalem her sind Berge, und der HErr ist um sein Volk her von nun an bis in Ewigkeit.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.
Denn der Gottlosen Zepter wird nicht bleiben über dem Häuflein der Gerechten, auf dass die Gerechten ihre Hand nicht ausstrecken zur Ungerechtigkeit.
For the scepter of the wicked will not rest upon the land allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to injustice.
HErr, tue wohl den guten und frommen Herzen!
Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to the upright in heart.
Die aber abweichen auf ihre krummen Wege, wird der HErr wegtreiben mit den Übeltätern. Friede sei über Israel!
But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers. Peace be upon Israel.
