Enfin ! Nos pieds s'arrêtent à tes portes, Jérusalem !
Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem.
Jérusalem, tu es bâtie comme une ville où tout se tient ensemble.
Jerusalem is built up as a city united together,
Là montent les tribus, les tribus de Yahweh, selon la loi d'Israël, pour louer le nom de Yahweh.
where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
Là sont établis des sièges pour le jugement, les sièges de la maison de David.
For there the thrones of judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David.
Faites des vœux pour Jérusalem : Qu'ils soient heureux ceux qui t'aiment !
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you prosper (note: Or be secure).
Que la paix règne dans tes murs, la prospérité dans tes palais !
May there be peace within your walls, and prosperity inside your fortresses.”
A cause de mes frères et de mes amis, je demande pour toi la paix ;
For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.”
à cause de la maison de Yahweh, notre Dieu, je désire pour toi le bonheur.
For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.
