Danket dem HErrn; denn er ist freundlich, und seine Güte währet ewiglich.
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.
Es sage nun Israel: Seine Güte währet ewiglich.
Let Israel (note: LXX the house of Israel) say, “His loving devotion endures forever.”
Es sage nun das Haus Aaron: Seine Güte währet ewiglich.
Let the house of Aaron say, “His loving devotion endures forever.”

Let those who fear the LORD say, “His loving devotion endures forever.”
In der Angst rief ich den HErrn an, und der HErr erhörte mich und tröstete mich.
In my distress I called to the LORD, and He answered and set me free.
Der HErr ist mit mir, darum fürchte ich mich nicht; was können mir Menschen tun?
The LORD is on my side (note: Or The LORD is with me; also in verse 7; LXX The Lord is my helper); I will not be afraid. What can man do to me (note: Cited in Hebrews 13:6)?

Shouts of joy and salvation resound in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the LORD performs with valor!

The right hand of the LORD is exalted! The right hand of the LORD performs with valor!”
Ich werde nicht sterben, sondern leben und des HErrn Werke verkündigen.
I will not die, but I will live and proclaim what the LORD has done.
Der HErr züchtigt mich wohl; aber er gibt mich dem Tode nicht.
The LORD disciplined me severely, but He has not given me over to death.
Tut mir auf die Tore der Gerechtigkeit, dass ich dahin eingehe und dem HErrn danke.
Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter and give thanks to the LORD.
