Das ist mir lieb, dass der HErr meine Stimme und mein Flehen hört.
I love the LORD, for He has heard my voice—my appeal for mercy.
Denn er neigte sein Ohr zu mir; darum will ich mein Leben lang ihn anrufen.
Because He has inclined His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.
Stricke des Todes hatten mich umfangen, und Ängste der Hölle hatten mich getroffen; ich kam in Jammer und Not.
The ropes of death entangled me; the anguish of Sheol overcame me; I was confronted by trouble and sorrow.
Aber ich rief an den Namen des HErrn: O HErr, errette mein Seele!
Then I called on the name of the LORD: “O LORD, deliver my soul!”
Der HErr ist gnädig und gerecht, und unser Gott ist barmherzig.
The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.
Der HErr behütet die Einfältigen; wenn ich unterliege, so hilft er mir.
The LORD preserves the simplehearted; I was helpless, and He saved me.
Sei nun wieder zufrieden, meine Seele; denn der HErr tut dir Gutes.
Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.
Denn du hast meine Seele aus dem Tode gerissen, meine Augen von den Tränen, meinen Fuß vom Gleiten.
For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
Ich werde wandeln vor dem HErrn im Lande der Lebendigen.
I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
Ich glaube, darum rede ich; ich werde aber sehr geplagt.
I believed, therefore I said (note: LXX therefore I have spoken; cited in 2 Corinthians 4:13), “I am greatly afflicted.”
Ich sprach in meinem Zagen: Alle Menschen sind Lügner.
In my alarm I said, “All men are liars!”
Wie soll ich dem HErrn vergelten alle seine Wohltat, die er an mir tut?
How can I repay the LORD for all His goodness to me?
Ich will den Kelch des Heils nehmen und des HErrn Namen predigen.
I will lift the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.
Ich will meine Gelübde dem HErrn bezahlen vor allem seinem Volk.
I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people.
Der Tod seiner Heiligen ist wertgehalten vor dem HErrn.
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.
O HErr, ich bin dein Knecht; ich bin dein Knecht, deiner Magd Sohn. Du hast meine Bande zerrissen.
Truly, O LORD, I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have broken my bonds.
Dir will ich Dank opfern und des HErrn Namen predigen.
I will offer to You a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD.
Ich will meine Gelübde dem HErrn bezahlen vor allem seinem Volk,
I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people,
in den Höfen am Hause des HErrn, in dir, Jerusalem. Halleluja!
in the courts of the LORD’s house, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
