πλεονάκις ἐρρύσατο αὐτούς, αὐτοὶ δὲ παρεπίκραναν ἐν τῇ βουλῇ αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐταπεινώθησαν ἐν ταῖς ἀνομίαις αὐτῶν.

Many times He rescued them, but they were bent on rebellion and sank down in their iniquity.
