πληγαὶ καὶ ἔλεγχοι διδόασιν σοφίαν, παῖς δὲ πλανώμενος αἰσχύνει γονεῖς αὐτοῦ.
A rod of correction imparts wisdom, but a child left to himself disgraces his mother.
