Ἔντειλαι τοῖς Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς Ὑμεῖς εἰσπορεύεσθε εἰς τὴν γῆν Χανάαν· αὕτη ἔσται ὑμῖν εἰς τὴν κληρονομίαν, γῆ Χανάαν σὺν τοῖς ὁρίοις αὐτῆς.
“Command the Israelites and say to them: When you enter the land of Canaan, it will be allotted to you as an inheritance with these boundaries:
καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν τὸ κλίτος τὸ πρὸς λίβα ἀπὸ ἐρήμου Σεῖν ἕως ἐχόμενον Ἐδώμ, καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν τὰ ὅρια πρὸς λίβα ἀπὸ μέρους τῆς θαλάσσης τῆς ἁλυκῆς ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν·
Your southern border will extend from the Wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom. On the east, your southern border will run from the end of the Salt Sea (note: That is, the Dead Sea; also in verse 12),
καὶ κυκλώσει ὑμᾶς τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ λιβὸς πρὸς ἀνάβασιν Ἀκραβείν, καὶ παρελεύσεται Ἐννάκ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτοῦ πρὸς λίβα Καδὴς τοῦ Βαρνή, καὶ ἐξελεύσεται εἰς ἔπαυλιν Ἀράδ, καὶ παρελεύσεται Ἀσεμῶνα.
cross south of the Ascent of Akrabbim (note: Or the Ascent of Scorpions or Scorpion Pass), continue to Zin, and go south of Kadesh-barnea. Then it will go on to Hazar-addar and proceed to Azmon,
καὶ κυκλώσει τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ Ἀσεμῶνα χειμάρρουν Αἰγύπτου, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος ἡ θάλασσα.
where it will turn from Azmon, join the Brook of Egypt, and end at the Sea (note: That is, the Mediterranean Sea, also called the Great Sea; also in verses 6 and 7).
καὶ τὰ ὅρια τῆς θαλάσσης ἔσται ὑμῖν· ἡ θάλασσα ἡ μεγάλη ὁριεῖ, τοῦτο ἔσται ὑμῖν τὰ ὅρια τῆς θαλάσσης.
Your western border will be the coastline of the Great Sea; this will be your boundary on the west.
καὶ τοῦτο ἔσται τὰ ὅρια ὑμῖν πρὸς βορρᾶν· ἀπὸ τῆς θαλάσσης τῆς μεγάλης καταμετρήσετε ὐμῖν αὐτοῖς παρὰ τὸ ὄρος τὸ ὄρος·
Your northern border will run from the Great Sea directly to Mount Hor,
καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄρους τὸ ὄρος καταμετρήσετε αὐτοῖς, εἰσπορευομένων εἰς Ἑμάθ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτῶν τὰ ὅρια Σαράδακ·
and from Mount Hor to Lebo-hamath, then extend to Zedad,
καὶ ἐξελεύσεται τὰ ὅρια Δεφρῶνα, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτοῦ Ἁρσεναεἰμ· τοῦτο ἔσται ὑμῖν ὅρια ἀπὸ βορρᾶ.
continue to Ziphron, and end at Hazar-enan. This will be your boundary on the north.
καὶ καταμετρήσετε ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς τὰ ὅρια ἀνατολῶν ἀπὸ Ἁρσεναεὶν Σεπφάμαρ·
And your eastern border will run straight from Hazar-enan to Shepham,
καὶ καταβήσεται τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ Σεπφάμαρ βῆλά ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἐπὶ πηγάς, καὶ καταβήσεται τὰ δρία βῆλά ἐπὶ νώτου θαλάσσης Χενάρα ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν.
then go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain and continue along the slopes east of the Sea of Chinnereth (note: That is, the Sea of Galilee).
καὶ καταβήσεται τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰορδάνην, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος θάλασσα ἡ ἁλυκή. αὕτη ὑμῖν ἔσται ἡ γῆ καὶ τὰ δρία αὐτῆς κύκλω.
Then the border will go down along the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. This will be your land, defined by its borders on all sides.”
καὶ ἐνετείλατο Μωυσῆς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ λέγων Αὕτη ἡ γῆ ἣν κατακληρονομήσετε αὐτὴν μετὰ κλήρου, ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ δοῦναι αὐτὴν ταῖς ἐννέα φυλαῖς καὶ τῷ ἡμίσει φυλῆς Μανασσή·
So Moses commanded the Israelites, “Apportion this land by lot as an inheritance. The LORD has commanded that it be given to the nine and a half tribes.
ὅτι ἔλαβεν φυλὴ υἱῶν Ῥουβὴν καὶ φυλὴ υἱῶν Γὰδ κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασσὴ ἀπέλαβον τοὺς κλήρους αὐτῶν·
For the tribes of the Reubenites and Gadites, along with the half-tribe of Manasseh, have already received their inheritance.
δύο φυλαὶ καὶ ἥμισυ φυλῆς ἔλαβον τοὺς κλήρους αὐτῶν πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου κατὰ Ἰερειχὼ ἀπὸ νότου κατ’ ἀνατολάς.
These two and a half tribes have received their inheritance across the Jordan from Jericho, toward the sunrise.”
Ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἀνδρῶν οἳ κληρονομήσουσιν ὑμῖν τὴν γῆν, Ἐλεαζὰρ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ τοῦ Ναυή.
“These are the names of the men who are to assign the land as an inheritance for you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.
καὶ ἄρχοντα ἕνα ἐκ φυλῆς λήμψεσθε κατακληρονοὑμῖν τὴν γῆν.
Appoint one leader from each tribe to distribute the land.
καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἀνδρῶν· τῆς φῦ. λῆς Ἰούδα, Χαλὲβ υἱὸς Ἰεφοννή·
These are their names: Caleb son of Jephunneh from the tribe of Judah;
τῶν υἱῶν Ἰωσὴφ φυλῆς ανασσή, ἄρχων Ανειὴλ υἱὸς Σουφί·
Hanniel son of Ephod, a leader from the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph;
τὴς φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἐφράιμ, Καμουὴλ υἱὸς Σαβαθά·
Kemuel son of Shiphtan, a leader from the tribe of Ephraim;
τὴς φυλῆς Ζαβουλών, ἄρχων Ἐλεισαφὰν υἱὸς Φαρνάχ·
Eli-zaphan son of Parnach, a leader from the tribe of Zebulun;
τῆς φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἰσσαχὰρ, ἄρχων Φαλτειὴλ υἱὸς Ὀζά·
Paltiel son of Azzan, a leader from the tribe of Issachar;
τῆς φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἀσήρ, ἄρχων Ἀχιὼρ υἱὸς Σελεμεί·
Ahihud son of Shelomi, a leader from the tribe of Asher;
τῆς φυλῆς Νεφθαλεί, ἄρχων Φαδαὴλ υἱὸς Βενιαμειούδ.
and Pedahel son of Ammihud, a leader from the tribe of Naphtali.”
τούτοις ἐνετείλατο κύριος καταμερίσαι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ ἐν γῆ Χανάαν.
These are the ones whom the LORD commanded to apportion the inheritance to the Israelites in the land of Canaan.
