Καὶ οὗτοι σταθμοὶ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ, ὡς ἐξῆλθον ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ καὶ Ἀαρών·
These are the journeys of the Israelites when they came out of the land of Egypt by their divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.
καὶ ἔγραψεν Μωυσῆς τὰς ἀπάρσεις αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς σταθμοὺς αὐτῶν διὰ ῥήματος κυρίου. καὶ οὗτοι σταθμοὶ τῆς πορείας αὐτῶν.
At the LORD’s command, Moses recorded the stages of their journey. These are the stages listed by their starting points:
ἀπῆραν ἐκ Ῥαμεσσὴ τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πρώτῳ, τῇ πεντεκαιδεκάτῃ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου· τῇ ἐπαύριον τοῦ πάσχα ἐξῆλθον οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ἐν χειρὶ ὑψηλῇ ἐναντίον πάντων τῶν Αἰγυπτίων·
On the fifteenth day of the first month, on the day after the Passover, the Israelites set out from Rameses. They marched out defiantly in full view of all the Egyptians,
καὶ οἱ Μἰγύπτιοι ἔθαπτον ἐξ αὑτῶν τοὺς τεθνηκότας πάντας πάντας οὓς ἐπάταξεν κύριος, πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ· καὶ ἐν τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν ἐποίησεν τὴν ἐκδίκησιν κύριος.
who were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them; for the LORD had executed judgment against their gods.
καὶ ἀπάραντες οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ἐκ Ῥαμεσσὴ παρενέβαλον εἰς Σοκχώθ·
The Israelites set out from Rameses and camped at Succoth.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Σοκχὼθ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Βουθάν, ὅ ἐστιν μέρος τῆς ἐρήμου.
They set out from Succoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the wilderness.
καὶ ἀπῆρον ἐκ Βουθὰν καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ στόμα Ἐπιρώθ, ὅ ἐστιν ἀπέναντι Βεελσεπφών, καὶ παρενέβαλον ἀπέναντι Μαγδώλου.
They set out from Etham and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, opposite Baal-zephon, and they camped near Migdol.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἀπέναντι Εἱρὼθ καὶ διέβησαν μέσον τῆς θαλάσσης εἰς τὴν ἔρημον· καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὁδὸν τριῶν ἡμερῶν διὰ τῆς ἐρήμου καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Πικρίαις.
They set out from Pi-hahiroth (note: Some Hebrew manuscripts, SP, and Vulgate; see verse 7; most MT manuscripts Hahiroth) and crossed through the sea, into the wilderness, and they journeyed three days into the Wilderness of Etham and camped at Marah.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Πικριῶν καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Αἰλείμ· καὶ ἐν Αἰλεὶμ οβ΄ πηγαὶ ὑδάτων καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα στελέχη φοινίκων· καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐκεῖ παρὰ τὸ ὕδωρ.
They set out from Marah and came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐξ Αἰλεὶμ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ θάλασσαν ἐρυθρόν·
They set out from Elim and camped by the Red Sea (note: Or the Sea of Reeds; also in verse 11).
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἀπὸ θαλάσσης ἐρυθρᾶς καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς τὴν ἔρημον Σεῖν·
They set out from the Red Sea and camped in the Desert of Sin (note: The geographical name Sin is related to Sinai and should not be mistaken for the English word sin; also in verse 12.).
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ τῆς ἐρήμου Σεὶν καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Ῥαφακά·
They set out from the Desert of Sin and camped at Dophkah.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Ῥαφακὰ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Αἰλείμ·
They set out from Dophkah and camped at Alush.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐξ Αἰλεὶμ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Ῥαφιδείν, καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὕδωρ τῷ λαῷ πιεῖν ἐκεῖ.
They set out from Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Ῥαφιδεὶν καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σεινά·
They set out from Rephidim and camped in the Wilderness of Sinai.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ τῆς ἐρήμου Σεινὰ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Μνήμασιν ἐπιθυμίας·
They set out from the Wilderness of Sinai and camped at Kibroth-hattaavah.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Μνημάτων ἐπιθυμίας καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Ἁσηρώθ·
They set out from Kibroth-hattaavah and camped at Hazeroth.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐξ Ἁσηρὼθ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Ῥαθαμά·
They set out from Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Ῥαθαμὰ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Ῥεμμὼν Φάρες·
They set out from Rithmah and camped at Rimmon-perez.

They set out from Jotbathah and camped at Abronah.

They set out from Abronah and camped at Ezion-geber.

They set out from Ezion-geber and camped at Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Καδὴς καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Ὣρ τὸ ὄρος, πλησίον γῆς Ἐδώμ.
They set out from Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, on the outskirts of the land of Edom.
καὶ ἀνέβη Ἀαρὼν ὁ ἱερεὺς διὰ προστάγματος κυρίου, καὶ ἀπέθανεν ἐκεῖ ἐν τῷ τεσσερακοστῳ ἔτει τῆς ἐξόδου τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἐκ γῆς λἰγύπτου, τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πέμπτῳ, μιᾷ τοῦ μηνός·
At the LORD’s command, Aaron the priest climbed Mount Hor and died there on the first day of the fifth month, in the fortieth year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt.
καὶ Ἀαρὼν ἢν τριῶν καὶ εἴκοσι καὶ ἑκατὸν ἐτῶν, ἀπέθνησκεν ἐν Ὣρ τῷ ὄρει.
Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.
καὶ ἀκούσας ὁ Χανανείς, βασιλεὺς λεὺς Ἀράδ· καὶ οὗτος κατῴκει ἐν γῇ Χανάαν, ὅτε εἰσεπορεύοντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ.
Now the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev in the land of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐξ Ὧρ τοῦ ὄρους καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Σελμωνά·
And the Israelites set out from Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Σελμωνὰ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Φεινώ·
They set out from Zalmonah and camped at Punon.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Σωβὼθ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Γαί, ἐν τῷ πέρα ἐπὶ τῶν ὁρίων Μωάβ·
They set out from Oboth and camped at Iye-abarim on the border of Moab.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Γαῖ καὶ παρενέβαλον εἰς Δαιβὼν Γάδ·
They set out from Iyim (note: Iyim is another name for Iye-abarim; see verse 44.) and camped at Dibon-gad.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Δαιβὼν Γὰδ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Γελμὼν Δεβλαθάιμ·
They set out from Dibon-gad and camped at Almon-diblathaim.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Γελμὼν Δεβλαθάιμ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τὰ Ἀβαρεὶμ ἀπέναντι Ναβαύ·
They set out from Almon-diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim (note: Or the mountains beyond the river; also in verse 48) facing Nebo.
καὶ ἀπῆραν ἀπὸ ὀρέων Ἀβαρεὶμ καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ δυσμῶν Μωάβ, ἐπὶ τοῦ Ἰορδάνου κατὰ Ἰερειχώ·
They set out from the mountains of Abarim and camped on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho.
καὶ παρενέβαλον παρὰ τὸν Ἰορδάνην ἀνὰ μέσον Αἱσιμῶθ ἕως Βελσὰ τὸ κατὰ δυσμὰς
And there on the plains of Moab they camped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth to Abel-shittim (note: Or the Meadow of the Acacias; that is, an area in the lowlands of Moab).
Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων ἐπὶ δυσμῶν Μωὰβ παρὰ τὸν Ἰορδάνην κατὰ Ἰερειχώ
On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho, the LORD said to Moses,
Λάλησον τοῖς οἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς Υμεῖς διαβαίνετε τὸν Ἰορδάνην εἰς γῆν Χανάαν·
“Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
καὶ ἀπολεῖτε πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν τῇ γῇ πρὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν, καὶ ἐξαρεῖτε τὰς σκοπιὰς αὐτῶν, καὶ πάντα τὰ εἴδωλα τὰ χωνευτὰ αὐτῶν ἀπολεῖτε αὐτά, καὶ πάσας τὰς στήλας αὐτῶν ἐξαρεῖτε.
you must drive out before you all the inhabitants of the land, destroy all their carved images and cast idols, and demolish all their high places.
καὶ ἀπολεῖτε πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν γῆν καὶ κατοικήσετε ἐν αὐτῇ, ὑμῖν γὰρ δέδωκα τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν ἐν κλήρῳ.
You are to take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.
καὶ κατακληρονομήσετε τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν ἐν κλήρῳ κατὰ φυλὰς αὐτῶν· τοῖς πλείοσιν πληθυνεῖτε τὴν κατάσχεσιν αὐτῶν, καὶ τοῖς ἐλάττοσιν ἐλαττώσετε τὴν κατάσχεσιν αὐτῶν· εἰς ὃ ἐὰν ἐξέλθῃ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ, αὐτοῦ ἔσται. κατὰ φυλὰς πατριῶν ὑμῶν κληρονομήσετε.
And you are to divide the land by lot according to your clans. Give a larger inheritance to a larger clan and a smaller inheritance to a smaller one. Whatever falls to each one by lot will be his. You will receive an inheritance according to the tribes of your fathers.
ἐὰν δὲ μὴ άπολέσητε τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν, καὶ ἔσται οὓς ἐὰν καταλίπητε ἐξ αὐτῶν, σκόλοπες ἐν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς ὑμῶν καὶ βολίδες ἐν ταῖς πλευραῖς ὑμῶν, καὶ ἐχθρεύσουσιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἐφ’ ἢν ὑμεῖς κατοικήσετε·
But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides; they will harass you in the land where you settle.
καὶ ἔσται καθότι διεγνώκειν ποιῆσαι
And then I will do to you what I had planned to do to them.”
