But they and our fathers became arrogant and stiff-necked and did not obey Your commandments.
וְהֵ֥ם וַאֲבֹתֵ֖ינוּ הֵזִ֑ידוּ וַיַּקְשׁוּ֙ אֶת־ עָרְפָּ֔ם וְלֹ֥א שָׁמְע֖וּ אֶל־ מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃
