parce qu’ils n’étaient pas venus au-devant des enfants d’Israël avec du pain et de l’eau, et parce qu’ils avaient appelé contre eux à prix d’argent Balaam pour qu’il les maudît; mais notre Dieu changea la malédiction en bénédiction.
because they had not met the Israelites with food and water, but had hired Balaam to call down a curse against them (although our God had turned the curse into a blessing).
