καὶ ᾧ μὲν ἔδωκεν πέντε τάλαντα, ᾧ δὲ δύο, ᾧ δὲ ἕν, ἑκάστῳ κατὰ τὴν ἰδίαν δύναμιν· καὶ ἀπεδήμησεν εὐθέως.
To one he gave five talents (note: A talent was worth about twenty years’ wages for a laborer.), to another two talents, and to another one talent—each according to his own ability. And he went on his journey.
