Væ autem vobis scribæ et pharisæi hypocritæ, quia clauditis regnum cælorum ante homines ! vos enim non intratis, nec introëuntes sinitis intrare.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let in those who wish to enter (note: BYZ and TR include 14Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You defraud widows of their houses, and for a show make lengthy prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation. See Mark 12:40 and Luke 20:47.).
