Καὶ ἰδὼν συκῆν μίαν ἐπὶ τῆς ὁδοῦ, ἦλθεν ἐπʼ αὐτήν καὶ οὐδὲν εὗρεν ἐν αὐτῇ, εἰ μὴ φύλλα μόνον, καὶ λέγει αὐτῇ, “Μηκέτι ἐκ σοῦ καρπὸς γένηται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα.” Καὶ ἐξηράνθη παραχρῆμα ἡ συκῆ.
Seeing a fig tree by the road, He went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. “May you never bear fruit again!” He said. And immediately the tree withered.
