Matthew 20:2

King James Version (1769 Blayney revision, with Apocrypha) · Berean Standard Bible

And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny (note: the Roman penny is the eighth part of an ounce, which after five shillings the ounce, is seven pence halfpenny) a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
He agreed to pay them a denarius (note: A denarius was customarily a day’s wage for a laborer; similarly in verses 9, 10, and 13.) for the day and sent them into his vineyard.
