And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence (note: Or, is gotten by force, and they that thrust men), and the violent take it by force.
From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subject to violence (note: Or has been forcefully advancing), and the violent lay claim to it.
