Jésus étant entré une autre fois dans la synagogue, il s'y trouvait un homme qui avait la main desséchée.
Once again Jesus entered the synagogue, and a man with a withered hand was there.
Et on l'observait pour voir s'il le guérirait le jour du sabbat, afin de pouvoir l'accuser.
In order to accuse Jesus, they were watching to see if He would heal on the Sabbath.
Jésus dit à l'homme qui avait la main desséchée : " Tiens-toi là debout au milieu " ;
Then Jesus said to the man with the withered hand, “Stand up among us.”
puis il leur dit : " Est-il permis le jour du sabbat, de faire du bien ou de faire du mal, de sauver la vie ou de l'ôter ? " Et ils se taisaient.
And He asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?” But they were silent.
Alors, les regardant avec indignation, et contristé de l'aveuglement de leur cœur, il dit à cet homme : " Etends ta main. " Il l'étendit, et sa main redevint saine.
Jesus looked around at them with anger and sorrow at their hardness of heart. Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it was restored.
Les Pharisiens, étant sortis, allèrent aussitôt s'entendre contre lui avec les Hérodiens, pour tâcher de le perdre.
At this, the Pharisees went out and began plotting with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.
Jésus se retira vers la mer avec ses disciples, et une foule nombreuse le suivit de la Galilée, de la Judée,
So Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea, accompanied by a large crowd from Galilee, Judea,
de Jérusalem, de l'Idumée et d'au delà du Jourdain. Ceux des environs de Tyr et de Sidon, ayant appris les choses qu'il faisait, vinrent aussi à lui en grande foule.
Jerusalem, Idumea, the region beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon. The large crowd came to Him when they heard what great things He was doing.
Et il dit à ses disciples de tenir toujours une barque à sa disposition, afin qu'il ne fût pas pressé par la foule.
Jesus asked His disciples to have a boat ready for Him so that the crowd would not crush Him.
Car, comme il guérissait beaucoup de gens, tous ceux qui avaient quelque mal se jetaient sur lui pour le toucher.
For He had healed so many that all who had diseases were pressing forward to touch Him.
Les esprits impurs, en le voyant, se prosternaient devant lui et s'écriaient :
And when the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him and cried out, “You are the Son of God!”
" Vous êtes le Fils de Dieu " ; mais il leur défendait avec de grandes menaces de faire connaître qui il était.
But He warned them sternly not to make Him known.
Etant monté ensuite sur la montagne, il appela ceux que lui-même voulut ; et ils vinrent à lui.
Then Jesus went up on the mountain and called for those He wanted, and they came to Him.
Il en établit douze pour les avoir avec lui et pour les envoyer prêcher,
He appointed twelve of them, whom He designated as apostles (note: SBL and WH; ECM, SBL, NE, BYZ, and TR do not include whom He designated as apostles), to accompany Him, to be sent out to preach,
avec le pouvoir de guérir les maladies et de chasser les démons.
and to have authority (note: BYZ and TR include to heal sicknesses, and) to drive out demons.

These are the twelve He appointed (note: SBL, NE, and WH; ECM, BYZ, and TR do not include These are the twelve He appointed): Simon (whom He named Peter),
puis il choisit Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, frère de Jacques, auxquels il donna le surnom de Boanergès, c'est-à-dire, fils du tonnerre ;
James son of Zebedee and his brother John (whom He named Boanerges, meaning “Sons of Thunder”),
André, Philippe, Barthélemy, Matthieu, Thomas, Jacques fils d'Alphée, Thaddée, Simon le Zélé,
Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot (note: Greek Simon the Cananean),
Ils revinrent à la maison, et la foule s'y assembla de nouveau, de sorte qu'ils ne pouvaient pas même prendre leur repas.
Then Jesus went home (note: Literally Then He comes to a house), and once again a crowd gathered, so that He and His disciples could not even eat.
Ce que ses parents ayant appris, ils vinrent pour se saisir de lui, car ils disaient : " Il est hors de sens. "
When His family heard about this, they went out to take custody of Him, saying, “He is out of His mind.”
Mais les Scribes, qui étaient venus de Jérusalem, disaient : " Il est possédé de Béelzébub ; et c'est par le prince des démons qu'il chasse les démons. "
And the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul (note: WH Beezeboul; Vulgate Beelzebub),” and, “By the prince of the demons He drives out demons.”
Jésus les appela et leur dit en parabole : " Comment Satan peut-il chasser Satan ?
So Jesus called them together and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan?
Si un royaume est divisé contre lui-même, ce royaume ne saurait subsister ;
If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand.
et si une maison est divisée contre elle-même, cette maison ne saurait subsister.
If a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand.
Si donc Satan s'élève contre lui-même, il est divisé, il ne pourra subsister, et sa puissance touche à sa fin.
And if Satan is divided and rises against himself, he cannot stand; his end has come.
Nul ne peut entrer dans la maison du fort et enlever ses meubles, si auparavant il ne l'enchaîne ; et alors il pillera sa maison.
Indeed, no one can enter a strong man’s house to steal his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can plunder his house.
En vérité, je vous le dis, tous les péchés seront remis aux enfants des hommes, même les blasphèmes qu'ils auront proférés.
Truly I tell you, the sons of men will be forgiven all sins and blasphemies, as many as they utter.
Mais celui qui aura blasphémé contre l'Esprit-Saint n'obtiendra jamais de pardon ; il est coupable d'un péché éternel. "
But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of eternal sin.”
Jésus parla ainsi, parce qu'ils disaient : " Il est possédé d'un esprit impur. "
Jesus made this statement because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”
Sa mère et ses frères étant venus, ils se tinrent dehors et l'envoyèrent appeler.
Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came and stood outside. They sent someone in to summon Him,
Or le peuple était assis autour de lui, et on lui dit : " Votre mère et vos frères sont là dehors, qui vous cherchent. "
and a crowd was sitting around Him. “Look,” He was told, “Your mother and brothers (note: ECM, SBL, WH, and TR; NE and BYZ include and Your sisters.) are outside, asking for You.”
Il répondit : " Qui est ma mère et qui sont mes frères ? "
But Jesus replied, “Who are My mother and My brothers?”
Puis, promenant ses regards sur ceux qui étaient assis autour de lui : " Voici, dit-il, ma mère et mes frères.
Looking at those seated in a circle around Him, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers!
Car quiconque fait la volonté de Dieu, celui-là est mon frère, et ma sœur et ma mère. "
For whoever does the will of God is My brother and sister and mother.”
