Ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ Ἰάκωβος καὶ Ἰωάννης εἶπον, Κύριε, θέλεις εἴπωμεν πῦρ καταβῆναι ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, καὶ ἀναλῶσαι αὐτούς, ὡς καὶ Ἠλίας ἐποίησεν;
When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do You want us to call down fire from heaven (note: BYZ and TR from heaven, just as Elijah did; see 2 Kings 1:10–12.) to consume them?”
