Ἔπειτα ἑτέρῳ εἶπεν, ‘Σὺ δὲ πόσον ὀφείλεις;’ Ὁ δὲ εἶπεν, ‘Ἑκατὸν κόρους σίτου.’ Λέγει αὐτῷ, ‘Δέξαι σου τὰ γράμματα καὶ γράψον ὀγδοήκοντα.’
Then he asked another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ ‘A hundred measures of wheat (note: Greek ‘A hundred cors of wheat’; that is, approximately 1,000 bushels or 35,000 liters (probably about 30 tons or 27 metric tons of wheat)),’ he replied. ‘Take your bill and write eighty,’ he told him.
