The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness. *
Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good (note: Literally When your eye is sound; see Proverbs 22:9.), your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad (note: Literally when it is evil; see Proverbs 23:6 and Proverbs 28:22.), your body is full of darkness.
