Da machte sich Jerubbaal, das ist Gideon, früh auf und alles Volk, das mit ihm war, und lagerten sich an den Brunnen Harod, dass er das Heer der Midianiter hatte gegen Mitternacht vom dem Hügel More im Grund.
Early in the morning Jerubbaal (note: Jerubbaal is another name for Gideon and probably means let Baal contend; see Judges 6:32.) (that is, Gideon) and all the men with him camped beside the spring of Harod. And the camp of Midian was north of them in the valley near the hill of Moreh.
