καὶ ἐκάλεσεν αὐτὸ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ Δικαστήριον τοῦ Βααλ ὅτι κατέσκαψεν τὸ θυσιαστήριον αὐτοῦ
So on that day Gideon was called Jerubbaal (note: Jerubbaal probably means let Baal contend.), that is to say, “Let Baal contend with him,” because he had torn down Baal’s altar.
