καὶ εἶπαν οἱ ἄνδρες τῆς πόλεως πρὸς Ιωας ἐξάγαγε τὸν υἱόν σου καὶ ἀποθανέτω ὅτι κατέσκαψεν τὸ θυσιαστήριον τοῦ Βααλ καὶ ὅτι ἔκοψεν τὸ ἄλσος τὸ ἐπ᾿ αὐτῷ
Then the men of the city said to Joash, “Bring out your son. He must die, because he has torn down Baal’s altar and cut down the Asherah pole beside it.”
