The Amorites forced the Danites into the hill country and did not allow them to come down into the plain.
וַיִּלְחֲצ֧וּ הָאֱמֹרִ֛י אֶת־ בְּנֵי־ דָ֖ן הָהָ֑רָה כִּי־ לֹ֥א נְתָנ֖וֹ לָרֶ֥דֶת לָעֵֽמֶק׃
