καὶ κατῴκησεν Ασηρ ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ Χαναναίου τοῦ κατοικοῦντος τὴν γῆν ὅτι οὐκ ἐδυνάσθη ἐξᾶραι αὐτόν
So the Asherites lived among the Canaanite inhabitants of the land, because they did not drive them out.
