Joshua and all Israel let themselves be beaten back before them, and they fled toward the wilderness.
וַיִּנָּֽגְע֛וּ יְהוֹשֻׁ֥עַ וְכָל־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לִפְנֵיהֶ֑ם וַיָּנֻ֖סוּ דֶּ֥רֶךְ הַמִּדְבָּֽר׃
