Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ δεύτερος κλῆρος τῶν υἱῶν Συμεών· καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡ κληρονομία αὐτῶν ἀνὰ μέσον κλήρων υἱῶν Ἰούδα.
The second lot came out for the clans of the tribe of Simeon: Their inheritance lay within the territory of Judah
καὶ ἐγενήθη ὁ κλῆρος αὐτῶν Βηρσάβεε καὶ Σάμαα καὶ Κωλαδὰμ
and included Beersheba (or Sheba), Moladah,
καὶ Βαθαρὼθ καὶ οἱ ἀγροὶ ἀυτῶν, πόλεις οεκα τρεῖς καὶ αἰ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·
Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen—thirteen cities, along with their villages.
Ἐρεμμὼν καὶ Θαλχὰ καὶ Ἰέθερ καὶ Ἀσάν, πόλεις τέσσαρες καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν
Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan—four cities, along with their villages,
κυκλῳ τῶν πόλεων αὐτῶν ἕως Βαρὲκ πορευομένων Βάμεθ κατὰ λίβα· αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Συμεὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν.
and all the villages surrounding these cities as far as Baalath-beer (Ramah of the Negev). This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Simeon.
ἀπὸ τοῦ κλήρου ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Συμεὼν, ὅτι ἐγενήθη ἡ μερὶς υἱῶν μείζων τῆς αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐκληρονόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Συμεὼν ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ κλήρου αὐτῶν.
The inheritance of the Simeonites was taken from the territory of Judah, because the share for Judah’s descendants was too large for them. So the Simeonites received an inheritance within Judah’s portion.
Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ τρίτος τῷ Ζαβουλὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν. ἔσται τὰ ὃρια τῆς κληρονομίας αὐτῶν Ἐσεδεδκηωλά. ὅρια αὐτῶν
The third lot came up for the clans of the tribe of Zebulun: The border of their inheritance stretched as far as Sarid.
ἡ θάλασσα καὶ Μαραγελδά, καὶ συνάψει ἐπὶ Βαιθαραβὰ εἰς τὴν Φάραγγα, ἥ ἐστιν κατὰ πρόσωπον Ἰεκμάν·
It went up westward to Maralah, reached Dabbesheth, and met the brook east of Jokneam.
καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν ἀπὸ Σεδδοὺκ ἐξ ἐναντίας ἀπ’ ἀνατολῶν Βαιθσάμυς ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια Χασελωθαίθ, καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ Δαβειρώθ, καὶ προσαναβήσεται ἐπὶ Φαγγαί·
From Sarid it turned eastward along the border of Chisloth-tabor and went on to Daberath and up to Japhia.
καὶ ἐκεῖθεν περιελεύσεται ἐξ ἐναντίας ἐπ’ ἀνατολὰς ἐπὶ Γεβερέ, ἐπὶ πόλιν Κατασέμ, καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ Ῥεμμωνὰ Ἁμαθὰρ Ἁοζά·
From there it crossed eastward to Gath-hepher and to Eth-kazin; it extended to Rimmon and curved around toward Neah.
καὶ περιελεύσεται ὅρια ἐπὶ βορρᾶν ἐπὶ Ἁμώθ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτῶν ἐπὶ Γαιφαὴλ
Then the border circled around the north side of Neah to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah-el.
καὶ Κατανὰθ καὶ Ναβαὰλ καὶ Συμοὼν καὶ Ἰερειχὼ καὶ Βαιθμάν.
It also included Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem. There were twelve cities, along with their villages.
αὔτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Ζαβουλὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.
This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Zebulun, including these cities and their villages.
Καὶ τῷ Ἰσσαχὰρ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ τέταρτος.
The fourth lot came out for the clans of the tribe of Issachar:
καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Ἰαζὴλ καὶ Χασαλὼθ καὶ Σουνὰν
Their territory included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,
καὶ Ῥέμμας καὶ Ἰεὼν καὶ Τομμὰν καὶ Αἰμαρὲκ καὶ Βηρσαφής.
Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez.
καὶ συνάψει τὰ δρία ἐπὶ Γαιθβὼρ καὶ ἐπὶ Σαλεὶμ κατὰ θάλασσαν καὶ Βαιθσάμυς· καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος τῶν ὁρίων ὁ Ἰορδάνης.
The border reached Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh, and ended at the Jordan. There were sixteen cities, along with their villages.
αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἰσσαχὰρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, οἱ πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.
This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Issachar, including these cities and their villages.
Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ πέμπτος Ἀσήρ.
The fifth lot came out for the clans of the tribe of Asher:
καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ δρία ἐξ Ἑλεκὲθ καὶ Ἁλὲφ καὶ Βαίθοκ καὶ Κεὰφ
Their territory included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph,
καὶ Ἐλειμέλεκ καὶ καὶ Μαασά· καὶ συνάψει τῷ Καρμήλῳ κατὰ θάλασσαν καὶ τῷ Σειὼν καὶ Λαβανάθ.
Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. On the west the border touched Carmel and Shihor-libnath,
καὶ ἐπιστρέψει ἀπ’ ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου καὶ Βαιθεγενέθ, καὶ συνάψει τῷ Ζαβουλὼν καὶ ἐκ Γοῖ καὶ Φθαιὴλ κατὰ βορρᾶν, καὶ εἰσελεύσεται ὃρια Σαφθαιβαιθμὲ καὶ Ἰναήλ, καὶ διελεύεται εἰς Χωβαβασομὲλ
then turned eastward toward Beth-dagon, touched Zebulun and the Valley of Iphtah-el, and went north to Beth-emek and Neiel, passing Cabul on the left.
καὶ Ἐλβὼν καὶ Ῥαὰβ καὶ Ἑμεμαὼν καὶ Κανθὰν ἕως Σ·ιδῶνος τῆς μεγάλης·
It went on to Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, as far as Greater Sidon.
καὶ ἀναστρέψει τὰ ὅρια εἰς Ῥαμὰ καὶ ἕως πηγῆς Μασφασσὰτ καὶ τῶν Τυρίων· καὶ ἀναστρέψει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ Ἰασείφ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτοῦ ἡ θάλασσα καὶ ἀπὸ Λὲβ καὶ Ἐχοζὸβ
The border then turned back toward Ramah as far as the fortified city of Tyre, turned toward Hosah, and came out at the Sea (note: That is, the Mediterranean Sea, also called the Great Sea) in the region of Achzib,
καὶ Ἀρχώβ καὶ Ἀφὲκ καὶ Ῥααύ.
Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob. There were twenty-two cities, along with their villages.
αὓτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἀσὴρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.
This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Asher, including these cities and their villages.
Καὶ τῷ Νεφθαλεὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ ἕκτος.
The sixth lot came out for the clans of the tribe of Naphtali:
καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια οὕτων Μοολὰμ καὶ Μωλὰ καὶ Βεσεμιεὶν καὶ Ἀρμὲ καὶ Νάβωκ καὶ Ἰεφθαμαὶ ἕως Δωδάμ· καὶ ἐγενήθησαν αἱ διέξοδοι αὐτοῦ ὁ Ἰορδάνης.
Their border started at Heleph and the great tree of Zaanannim, passing Adami-nekeb and Jabneel as far as Lakkum and ending at the Jordan.
καὶ ἐπιστρέφει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ θάλασσαν Ἐνὰθ Θαβώρ, καὶ διελεύσεται ἐκεῖθεν ῾Ιακᾶνα, καὶ συνάψει τῷ Ζαβουλὼν ἀπὸ καὶ Ἀσὴρ συνάψει κατὰ θάλασσαν, καὶ ὁ Ἰορδάνης ἀπ’ ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου.
Then the border turned westward to Aznoth-tabor and ran from there to Hukkok, touching Zebulun on the south side, Asher on the west, and Judah at the Jordan (note: Hebrew; LXX west, and the Jordan) on the east.
καὶ αἱ πόλεις τειχήρεις τῶν Τυρίων, Τύρος καὶ Ὡμαθά, Δακὲθ καὶ Κενέρεθ·
The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth,
καὶ κερωὲ καὶ Μεγαλά, ῾Αρεὶμ καὶ Βαιθθαμὲ καὶ Θεσσάμυς.
Iron, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh. There were nineteen cities, along with their villages.
αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Νεφθαλεί.
This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Naphtali, including these cities and their villages.
Καὶ τῷ Δὰν ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ ἕβδομος.
The seventh lot came out for the clans of the tribe of Dan:
καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Σαρὰθ καὶ Ἀσά, πόλεις Σάμμαυς,
The territory of their inheritance included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh,
καὶ ἀπὸ θαλάσσης Ἰερακὼν ὅριον πλησίον Ἰόππης.
Me-jarkon, and Rakkon, including the territory across from Joppa.
καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰούδα καὶ ἐπολέμησαν τὴν Λαχείς, καὶ κατελάβοντο αὐτὴν καὶ ἐπάταξαν αὐτὴν ἐν στόματι μαχαίρας, καὶ κατῴκησαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἐκάλεσαν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς Λασεννδάκ.
(Later, when the territory of the Danites was lost to them, they went up and fought against Leshem, captured it, and put it to the sword. So they took possession of Leshem, settled there, and renamed it after their father Dan.)
αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Δὰν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, αἱ πόλεις αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.
This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Dan, including these cities and their villages.
Καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἐμβατεῦσαι τὴν γῆν κατὰ τὸ ὅριον αὐτῶν. καὶ ἔδωκαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ κλῆρον Ἰησοῖ τῷ υἱῷ Ναυὴ ἐν αὐτοῖς
When they had finished distributing the land into its territories, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun an inheritance among them,
διὰ προστάγματος τοῦ θεοῦ· καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτῷ τὴν πόλιν ἣν ᾐτήσατο Θαμαρἥ ἐστιν ἐν τῷ ὄρει Ἐφράιμ· καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν καὶ κατῴκει ἐν αὐτῇ.
as the LORD had commanded. They gave him the city of Timnath-serah (note: Timnath-serah is also known as Timnath-heres; see Judges 2:9.) in the hill country of Ephraim, as he requested. He rebuilt the city and settled in it.
Αὗται αἱ διαιρέσεις ἃς κατεκληρονόμησεν Ἐλεαζὰρ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ τοῦ Ναυὴ καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς Ἰσραὴλ κατὰ κλήρους ἐν ἐναντίον ἐναντίον τοῦ κυρίου παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου· καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἐμβατεῦσαι τὴν γῆν.
These are the inheritances that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the families distributed by lot to the tribes of Israel at Shiloh before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. So they finished dividing up the land.
