Ἐκεῖ οὖν διὰ τὴν παρασκευὴν τῶν Ἰουδαίων, ὅτι ἐγγὺς ἦν τὸ μνημεῖον, ἔθηκαν τὸν ˚Ἰησοῦν.
And because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and the tomb was nearby, they placed Jesus there.
