Ὁ οὖν Πιλᾶτος, ἀκούσας τῶν λόγων τούτων, ἤγαγεν ἔξω τὸν ˚Ἰησοῦν, καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπὶ βήματος, εἰς τόπον λεγόμενον Λιθόστρωτον, Ἑβραϊστὶ δὲ, Γαββαθᾶ.
When Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat on the judgment seat at a place called the Stone Pavement, which in Hebrew (note: Or in Aramaic; also in verses 17 and 20) is Gabbatha.
