οἱ περικυκλοῦντες ἅλιμα ἐπὶ ἠχοῦντι, οἵτινες ἄλιμα ἦν αὐτῶν τὰ σῖτα· ἄτιμοι δέ καὶ πεφαυλισμένοι, ἐνδεεῖς παντὸς ἀγαθοῦ.
They plucked mallow among the shrubs, and the roots of the broom tree were their food (note: Or their fuel).
